I hate Samsung Galaxy, started with Galaxy 2 and ended with Galaxy 6 then went to iPhone. The iPhone experience is sleek, fluid and way way better than the Samsung Galaxy. Furthermore the apps interfaces look better and more professionally done than that of Andriod. Bye bye Android and Samsung Galaxy. |

Some brands are associated with style asside their performance. iPhone blends with fashion in addition to their great performance too so I will always opt for the iPhone.. Android devices don't look fashioned forward no matter how beautiful they are... Also know that the Apple logo on the iPhone is classic compared to other brands |

Iphones is all about style and security, and Android? Elegance and Practicality. I'm not talkin abt those tecno, infinix, gionee, injoo scrab. I mean Galaxy S&Note 8, Google Pixel 2(not officially available in Naija tho), Lg V30 & G6. HTC, Huawei, Oneplus dey try sha, buh Samsung, LG, Google are top. Not Google don't manufacture or assemble phone's hardware, they pay the likes LG, Huawei, HTC(present) to do that, but the OS will be stock android and the phone will bear the Google logo. iOS doesn't have as much customisations and functions as android. The only thing iphones can boast off is security. All personal data in iOS devices are encrypted at data/character level (meaning even the FBI can't even hack ur phone unless Apple decides to de-encrypt it pass the information around). The good thing is apple has never done that even when apple was sued for supporting terrorism due to the fact that they didn't want to de-encrypt messages sent by terrorists, apple maintained its stand againstt the CIA... Thats what we call commitment. On the other hand, Google is ready to de-encrypt and give out ur personal info anytime anyday... I'm just kiddin'... But anytime the CIA comes knocking, Google is most-likely ready to open-up. Thats not all about security on android. If you happen to use a carrier branded(e.g at&t) samsung phone, that means not only Google gets your personal data, but also Samsung and at&t. With the exception of security, I'll tick every other box in favour of android-powered devices, even camera. Ever since the release of galaxy S6 in 2015, samsung has been ahead apple flagships year-on-year in camera department. Since 2015 Samsung has always being ahead of apple in DxOMark (a rating that ranks digital cameras and camera in phones according to their quality in different scenes and situations). DxOMark is internationally recongnised and it's the the basic ranking for camera devices. Well, the highest ranked mobile phone in DxOMark is Google Pixel 2 (an android phone) with a rating of 98. When it comes to audio, HTC U11 is King. Watching a movie is like you sitting in the midst of a mini home theatre. The Bass u get in songs are top notch. Samsung is way behind in audio dept, only LG can come close to HTC, close? The gap is pretty long. Display? Samsung always. No arguement about that. Watch videos on the galaxy is so cinematic. Deep blacks... Whiter whites... Next behind samsung in display dept? It has to be LG... I mean the V30. The fact is that we Nigerians have mobile phones without using 'em to their full potential... Not even half? Above, I ranked iphones top when it comes to security but that doesn't mean ur info can't still be leaked. Whatsapp isn't owned by apple, it is owned by Facebook so that means security agencies can still approach facebook for ur chats. Well, I don't know if Facebook is like Apple or Google when it comes to security but I can assure you, no tech company protect users data as much as Apple. Android uses personal info for something good also; to give u a better Google assistant xperience. For example you bought a ticket for a show with ur android phone. Google assistant(just like Siri in apple) reads the data; if the show happened to be postponed, Google assistant will inform u that the show has been postponed. I mean, your phone may just start talking in robotic voice, telling you about the postponement and possibly the postponed date. Apple's siri can't do that because, it can't read your data outside apple's frameword(not that it can't, apple won't allow it). Apple respect users data more than a an igbo girl's respect for her dad. In iOS devices, you can't download apps from unknown or unverified source but in android you can. When it comes to camera, I'm sure most or even all nigerians will be happy with even the galaxy S6 camera. iphone 7,8,X; galaxy s7 and s8 camera are better tho, but if you wanna take those wedding, bday and pictures of ur kids and bae and post on social media; believe me u will be impressed with the S6,S6 edge and iphone 5 and 5s. The truth is that flagship phones this days now have some features only pro photographers and Hollywood directors will use. I mean who in this forum uses HDR video recording mode, or exposure time setting, or shooting in RAW, Focus lock in Video; these are terms that only professionals will understand, so forget the hype abt camera on this flagship devices. If you have d money, go 4 it, if u don't, don't bother. Again, usin an iphone is like livin in a cage, no freedom, android? Do wha ever u want. Even a Jailbroken iphone doesn't even have as much customisations of an unrooted android phone... Imagine if the android phone is now rooted. I'm pro-android, but I really like how devoted apple is to protecting users data. If there's anytin I will like to steal from iOS/iphones/apple and bring to android, it has to be security and the LOGO 3 Likes |

ebby9z: The question is what feature do iphones have? When it comes to features... iOS is like a cup of water compared to oceanic android. I mean iOS doesn't support USB OTG (for connecting devices like flashdrives, printers, monitor and even game control pads- Oh geez have u ever played FIFA16 mobile or asphalt 8 with xbox 360 gamepad?). iOS doesn't also support ANT+, MHL (connecting phones to TV), RAW images (photography), u can't even customise ur homescreen. iphones don't even have wifi hotspot (it has bluetooth hotspot and guess what? U can't connect to any non apple device unlike wifi hotspot that covers everything... iphones incuded) Did I also mention that the range of wifi hotspot is multiple times more than BT hotspot; we all know BT range is just some few metres. With android, I can flash custom roms, kernels, mods to enhance the capability of the phone but impossible with apple. Thats bcuz iOS devices is very much secured than android phones. To apple, more connectivity options means more options for someone trying hack ur device. Apple is very much more secured than android... Android reads lots of ur personal data, provides more connectivity options and guess what thats what a hacker needs to get. Don't get me wrong android nougat and Oreo has proven that google has steped up it's commitment to securings users personal data. Infact it's difficult to hack into an android(thats if u don't install apps from unknown source, download stuffs from malicious website, and make sure the device u're connecting(wired/wireless) ur phone to is free from any threat. On iOS all those options are disabled so while you're unable to have the goodies of android, atleast u're more secured. The question is who in nigeria will want to hack my phone? For what reason? Well this iOS devices kinda built for those with sensitive with what they do on their phone e.g celebs. The kardashians as well as other big names celebs are the one that benefits most of this privacy-minded iphones. I mean we all know the kind of business they do, the kind of documents thats possibly on their phone, and don't forget... Lots of nudes! :p The problem with android is the lots of oems. U have the extremely good android phone brand (Samsung, LG, Google, HTC, Sony). We have those that are doing well (Oneplus, Huawei, ehhh Xiaomi, Motorola(Lenovo manufactured) mek I even add Lenovo) and we have the extremely useless brand... (itel, bontel) if I add tecno, infinix, gionee, injoo among useless brands, I know say I nogo hear word... So mek I leave am like that... Lol. But iphones has only one manufacturer, and iphones are always classy. Unlike android phone brands that tends to release flagship phones, along with mid range choice and cheap alternatives... iphones are always flagship device for the year at which they're launched and even after 3 years of launch the price of an iphone will stil be as high as that of some newly launched android flagship phone. For me, iphones make sense only to celebs, politicians and fraudsters(not G-boys this time, I mean big time fraudsters) and those who like to keep things as private as they can. I'm done... For me it's android always! Until atleast iphones start supporting USB OTG, MHL and Wifi Hotspot. Or until I become a celeb. 3 Likes |
