God! cheesy

What kind of pleasure could I - an imperfect human being - derive from the worship and reverence of butterflies? Yet a perfect God who NEEDS NOTHING and should have no weakness exhibits human frailty worse than humans themselves.

The Bible records this strange God enjoying the smell of burning animal flesh and blood. This God is too human - in fact, more human than human - too petty, and so imperfect he's too SMALL for the vast universe. This is a God said to be INFINITELY beyond us and removed from the imperfect human condition. Yet he's JEALOUS that people worship idols that he knows DO NOT EXIST. So, how can they be in competition with him? This is clearly a human character created by humans, not so different from the Greek Gods on Mount Olympus.

You must be a real psycho to believe the only way to do the right thing is with the threat of eternal damnation ,So if you didn't believe in god you will go around killing people. And the fact that someone is an Atheist doesn't mean the person lacks empathy or other basic human emotions it just means the person isn't gullible enough to believe in things like unicorn, santa claus ,god, big foot ,abominable snow man, kraken ,godzilla and what ever imaginary things hang out together

First things first: from the atheist's point of view, what is the right thing, which everybody should do? And who said that such a thing is the right thing for everybody to do? Is the Vegas shooting wrong? If yes, who said so?

There is no gainsaying the fact that no one would do anything he or she likes if he/she really realizes that the record of his/her actions are being kept, and that he/she would surely receive rewards for whatever he/she has done.

You have not studied Islam, I'm sure of it. You only know things you've heard about it. Yet, you're absolutely sure that Christianity is true when you haven't studied a word of the alternatives. This is nothing but religious delusion resulting from childhood brainwashing and indoctrination. You INHERITED your religion, like nearly every other person!

Had you been born in Afghanistan, you'd be praising Allah, dreaming of establishing the next Islamic caliphate, as Muhammed's successor, and fighting Women Liberation tooth and nail.

Enjoy your delusion. It probably won't last though. I removed the blinders in the 16th year of my life...... you also can still get rid of the paint plastered on the wall of your mind when it was still a white canvas!

My friend, I'm telling you again, Christianity is bullshiit. Why you've failed to see this CLEAR and SIMPLE fact is still quite beyond me.

True. Islam is worse! But, in the end, both religions are extraordinarily nonsensical. The entirety of Abrahamism is morally and intellectually OFFENSIVE.

I was raised a Muslim. My parents' marriage is a result of inter-religious conjugality. My dad is a Muslim [although, not an extremely committed one] and my mum a Christian. I denounced Islam at 14 years of age when I discovered how nauseating it was, and dropped out of Islamic school. I became immersed in Christianity, Catholic theology and Wesleyanism [I admired John Wesley as a General in the Lord's Army] before I eventually snapped and denounced Abrahamism whole-sale two years later.

I've studied many other world views and remained an atheist ever since. This is my fourth year as an atheist.

Indeed. And it spreads through violence, political manipulation and control.

The reason why Christianity succeeded was Helena's conversion. She then persuaded her son, Emperor Constantine, to do the same. Once the Imperial family was Christian, all the leading families of Rome, seeking to curry favour with the Emperor, did the same. They converted out of pure self-interest, not because they had any love of Christianity. Thus it always is.

England converted from Catholicism to Protestantism because King Henry VIII rejected the Pope's authority and established the Anglican Church, causing most of the leading families of England - consumed with ambition and lust for power and wealth - to do the same.

Religions succeed as soon as they are endorsed by the powers-that-be, and not before. They succeed because of political and financial reasons, not because of any geniune religious sentiments.

Hypocrisy and self-interest always define the advance of religion.

Oga Alien, did Jesus say that whoever believes in him shall not die but have everlasting life? Did he proclaim after his death that all powers has been given unto him in heaven and in earth? Did he promise his followers that they shall trample upon serpents and scorpions and shall not be harmed? With your knowledge of basic bible, did Jesus promise his followers all that I said or am I quoting the quoran? I get it, you have already bought the school of thought that Christians can die like all unbelievers which is okk by me. Your fellow Christian, asuustrike2009 doesn't believe it as he believes that anyone that dies has sin in him ad not a true Christian. That's the reason for all my response so far.

You Christians are not even coherent about your beliefs and stands.
Oga you're misquoting me. I never said if anyone that dies has sin in him. I said if you have sin in you, it gives the accuser devil the privilege to strike. The Bible made it clear that in 1 John 3:8 "New Living Translation
But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil". The day you sin, you have broken the hedge for the serpent to strike that's why Jesus Christ came to redeem man but man must first of all acknowledge his sin and come to full repentance.

God isn't controlling anything. If he's

I struggle with religion. I've been reading a lot of Books, Once in a while, I'll start feeling

something like Las Vegas or the Church

Where was God? Was he just taking the

It is not by force to accept Christianity.

I have accepted it, there is nothing anyone can do about it.

I have also preached to you. It is left to you.

After death, you will Face whatever it is.

As for me and my family,

We are for Christ.

Jesus is Lord and Savior.

He is the begotten son of the most high.

By his name, sickness has vanished.

Issues that are beyond medicine have been resolved.

No amount of Jihad or talks can change that.

No amount of blasphemy can change it.

You don't believe. Fine. Your cross.

You can't drag me onto your path of uncertainties.

I am certain of where I go after here.My Lord promised me that.

If you are not sure of where you go, that is not my problem.

I have experienced him. I have heard him speak about things to come and they come to pass as foretold.

You can't deny someone you know very well.

I have moved past the basic foundation of Christianity. Sonship, baptism, ressurection, etc.

Now, I want to live Holy for him

I want to purge my heart from unwanted thoughts.

I want to be a pure instrument in his hand.

That is where I am now. I have gone past these things we argue about here. This is the work of the Holy Ghost in me. He will continue to purge me till I am whoever he wants me to be.

Child of God, move from the basics. Seek perfection. Ask the holy Spirit to help you.

Live in the realm of certainty

Don't consider uncertainty.

Many are confused.

Don't let them drag you into their confusion.

God bless his people.

Lol. Yes o. I was looking for the world view that could explain existence in a way that would satisfy my quest for answers - that would give an unarguable answer that makes perfect sense. I haven't found any that is convincing enough. It's all been speculations and imaginative romance with philosophy and metaphysics.

Maybe the answer to "Life, the Universe and Everything" is "42", like Douglas Adams said in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. grin

Not
The very need to be praised and worshipped invalidates the whole thing. It makes no sense.

Jews at the wailing wall, Christians making noise, Muslims grovelling and cowtowing spewing balderdash. I would be so disgusted and forced to throw up if I were at the receiving end of all this nonsense. It's so boring and pointless. Why does it stimulate this God and make him feel good? undecided

No matter what good I do to my fellow human, it's pointless if I do not do all this shit. I'll be burning in hell for eternity because I refuse to believe a virgin gave birth! Wow. That's sickening. The idiots who sat in judgement over the Nazis in Nuremberg were Christians! According to their beliefs, all the Jews Hitler exterminated are going to hell. So, if God doesn't care about them, and won't spare them because of their beliefs, why should Hitler spare them? Was Hitler supposed to be more moral than God?

These people are so confused and incredibly deluded.

Nevertheless, there must be an answer to existence and an explanation for all phenomena. And I'm deeply interested in finding out what it is. I want to know the answer to "Life, the universe and everything". I want to know what this universe is all about!

While you drop your faith in Jesus,

Know that most of the argument against God and Jesus come from Thieves, chronic liars, fornicators, Adulterers,. Sexual perverts, armed robbers, public fund Thieves, Rapers, money ritualists, pedophiles, yahoo boys, etc.

They are confused. They work the work of the flesh.
