Pastor (Mrs) Catherine Olufun-milola Okafor, is definitely not a lone voice in the crusade by some ministers of God to rid the class of the anointed men of God of those polluting it. Her message during this interview with Daily Sun was instructive: “There is hardly any vacant warehouse that has not been taken over by a denomination. Factories that have closed shops because of the economic doldrums have found patronage in the churches.”

She said it is ironical that wickedness, immorality and other mortal sins are increasing in the same proportion as the churches are multiplying: “This is a sign that something is wrong. An indication that the churches are not making the desired positive impact as they ought to.

If not for the prayers of the people of God, the situation would have been worse because there are forces that are waging war against the work of God. What is happening in the country is enough to cause confusion. But God loves this country and has answered the prayers of the righteous ones that have continued to pray for the country for its well being.”

Okafor, Senior Pastor, Christ Expectant Church (CEC), Higher Ground with headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State, is pieced-off by the practices among her colleagues, who she claimed have completely abandoned their calling and engaged in mundane things of the world. She is angry that some of the pastors have relegated the issue of eternity to the background and are now hammering on the ephemeral:

“The issue of eternity is beyond bread and butter. The love of money has taken away the fire in the pulpits. The so-called men of God now worship money. They do all sorts of things that genuine men of God should not be associated with. They extort their church members in the name of prophecy.

“Go ye into the world and preach the gospel is the clear injunction handed down to Christians so that as many as may hear the word and believe can enter into the kingdom of God. This is why the disciples of Christ, as exemplified by Apostle Paul, went from place to place and community to community spreading the word of God so that whosoever believes will not perish but have everlasting life.”

Okafor traced the problem in the society to the activities of some men of God. She said some of the pastors, who are supposed to be the guide to a new life for members of their churches are not living up to expectation: “They have sacrificed the genuine word of God at the altar of Naira and kobo.”

The world hates to hear the truth. weather the woman is looking shabby or not, the truth remains that what she has said is correct. Am not suprised at your reactions though.

Authors or writers have distinctive, individual and peculiar ways of writing.

Closer home MrCrackles, AbuZola, Ogaga4luv, JeSoul, Pastor AIO, Mama-gee, KunleOshob, Huxley, OLAADEGBU, Tpia, Olabowale, Aloy+Emeka etc

are typical examples, to name a few . . .

Moses, Paul, King Solomon (i.e. Ecclesiastes) etc in the Bible are no exceptions.

The key is to identify their "modus operandi" writing manner (i.e. how they write, the way they write etc)

Becoming privy to Paul's style, makes it easier to comprehend, understand and grasp his writings or messages.

This idea particularly goes for (i.e. applicable to) 1 Cor. 14:34; a well-known accomplice in crime of 1 Timothy 2:11-12

Paul's mockery is noticeable in 1 Cor. 14:34 when it is read in context of the whole chapter and not singly as a weapon verse.

Unawared, those not in the know, misogynists and the likes enjoy brandishing these verses unmoved concerning women.
