How to index your website (the ultimate guide)

How much do you want your website to appear in search results? Do you want more organic traffic?

Well, you are in the right place.

By increasing your organic traffic from search engines, you improve your online presence and website ranking.

I have discussed submitting your sitemap to both Google and bing in my earlier posts.

Just submitting a sitemap does not guarantee that your website would be indexed immediately. It might take a couple of weeks.

There are two options here,

Fold your arms and wait patiently for Google and other search engines to index your website at their own time. OR. Do something!
Follow these tips to get your website indexed within 48 hours.

I personally don't like to wait too long for something, especially if there is a quicker way to get it. That way I can move on with other things.

What does it mean for your website to get indexed.

Indexing of a website has to do with the storing of web pages present within the website by search engines.

So when a person uses certain keywords in search engines that may be unique to your site, your content will then show up at a particular position amongst your competitors.

Unless you don't care about your website showing up in search results or a spike in your daily page views. If not, getting your website indexed is the most important thing.

Why is it so important for your website to be indexed?

Obvious answer: To prove your website exists.

Let's say you have a website which you have invested time and effort to build. But not many people know of your existence not even search engine spiders, that will suck.

You already have an online presence by having a website. What you need is for your niche targeted audience to easily find your website in search results.

But wait! I'm not sure whether my website is indexed by search engines.

How to check if your website is indexed
You can check by visiting: Google.com or Bing.com. Then type in "site: yourblog.com" in the search box provided. If there are results of your blog's brand name, that means your website is indexed. Also you can login to your Google, Bing or other search engine webmaster account. Getting website indexed Then check on the index status to confirm.

If no results show up, it only means your website has not been indexed by search engine bots.
Within this content, I will be sharing with you the methods I used to get my website indexed within 48 hours.
This step-by-step procedure would work for either new or old domains which is not getting traffic from search engines.

STEP 1: Submission of sitemap

Before I go any further, the only way to get a website indexed is by submitting your sitemap to search engines.
Submit a sitemap to Google  Submit a sitemap to bing
Submission of a sitemap is one thing but getting you web pages indexed on time is another thing.
It may take a couple of weeks for ............
