This is one of the main message that christ wants us to preach but so sad that most churches especially the new generation churches are not giving the message of rapture and eternity to the congregation. Like I said, nigerians are desperados when it comes to chasing money. thats why you see so many churches and prayer houses springing up here and there just to siphon money from people's pocket in God's name. I am not against prosperity in christ but the main thing is the message of salvation, message that will make people to reflect on where they will spend eternity. Most of this money- conscious pastors have neglected this major responsibilties and many of their members are dying without TRULY being born again and going to hell. Too bad. weather the world believe it or not, the second coming of Jesus is very much at hand. The signs are there already.

Where exactly in the bible is the rapture mentioned? And, pray, what exactly are we supposed to be looking out for? Perilous times? Was there ever a time when we were not in perilous time? Rather than seek to alleviate the tension, people like you seek to exacerbate the problems.
Rapture maniacs almost seem to delight in destruction, rape and pillage because these things appear to confirm their deluded beliefs.
Is it pride to question stupid and irrational beliefs? I would rather devote my life to enquiry and rational thoughts as opposed to belief in the bearded man in the sky.

I really THINK people should stop keeping their minds on this rapture thing and instead find ways to contribute to and enjoy life as well as live in union with christ in your time cos u may die before this rapture as many others before you did.

The end time you should be worried about should be of the time you die and leave this world.

u are right sis, the constant earthquakes and wars and the famines got me thinking too. I am working on myself and by God's grace will be ready. last thing i want is to suffer on earth and suffer in eternity

While I most certainly can't speak for all (nor would I presumptuously wish to do so), I feel that it's good to embrace those of any or no professed faith, if for no other reason than the fact that they wish to consider the potential that they might be wrong.  Regardless, any endeavor is improved by discussion and debate.  Also, there are those who wish to learn as well as teach their views, be they accepted by others or not.
