I am a current serving Corp member with the 2016 Batch B Stream II and due to pass out by December this year. I hold a HND in Architecture from a Federal Polytechnic.

My Place of Primary Assignment is a Federal Polytechnic where I lecture first year students. Now, there are prospects of being retained after service year since my HOD personally told me to apply and he has since endorsed my application and has sent it to Registry.

My problem right now is that I intend to go back to a University to get a degree immediately after my service year considering the dichotomy between the B.Sc and HND in the country. In fact, I applied to two Universities already and one of them is willing to admit me into 200level and the other is willing to admit me into 300 level.

I'm not sure of what to do. Should I ignore the job offer and go back to school, or just stay put and forget about the B.Sc.

Moderators, please I would appreciate this thread on the front page to get honest responses.

use ur hnd and go find work. Education is an overrated piece of nonsense. Many people just wasted their time in school. They ended up not using that nonsense cert.

my advice, just get the job first, am also an architectural students, you know our works speaks more than the certificate, apart from that, if you clinch the lecturing job, you can get any cert you need later, a Bird in hand is Worth more than two in the forest.
I know the dichotomy is real, but I believe that God doesn't look at the nature of your cert, when he wants to help you, having a B.sc does not determine success.

It's wiser to go for an MSc and a PhD after accepting the job offer. The federal government have resolved that already so there's no point looking out for a dichotomy after NYSC.
