The Epistles by pastorkc4life: 11:32am On Oct 15, 2017
TEXT:"THIS second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:"-2 Peter 3:1

The epistle is any of the letters, beginning from the book of Romans to the book of Jude. The epistles are: the book of Romans; the first and second books of Corinthians; Galatians; Ephesians; Philippians; Colossians; the first and second books of Thessalonians; the first and second books of Timothy; Titus; Philemon; Hebrews; James; the first and second books of Peter; the first, second, and third books of John; and the book of Jude.

The word of God is divided into two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament. It is further divided into five parts: the law and the prophets(in the Old Testament), and the gospel, the epistle, and the revelation(in the New Testament).

The Almighty God is the divine author of the books of the Bible, including the epistles. There are also human authors, e.g Paul is the author of the book of Romans to the book of Hebrews. In the Old Testament, the word of God came first to the prophets, who were inspired by the Holy Ghost, 2 Peter 1:20, 21. And they pronounced words that were written down by the scribes, Jeremiah 36:4, 17, 18. This was how the books of the Old Testament were written.

In like manner, in writing of the epistles, and other books of the New Testament. Revelation came to the disciples by the will of God, as they were inspired by the Holy Ghost, and they pronounced words to the scribes, and their words were written down.

The scribes who wrote the books of the epistles are: the book of Romans was written by Tertius, Romans 16:22. The first book of Corinthians was written by Stephanas, Fortunatus, Achaicus, and Timotheus, 1 Corinthians 16:17. The book of 2 Corinthians was written by Titus and Lucas, 2 Corinthians 8:16-18. The book of Ephesians was written by Tychicus, Ephesians 6:21.

The book of Philippians was written by Epaphraditus, Philippians 4:18. The book of Colossians was written by Tychicus and Onesimus, Colossians 4:7-9. The book of Hebrews was written by Timothy, Hebrews 13:23. The book of first Peter was written by Silvanus, 1 Peter 5:12. However, some of the human authors were also scribes: authors such as Paul, Timothy, John, etc. in the New Testament.

The epistles, and other books of the New Testament, are the books that documented the Will of Jesus Christ. That Will of Jesus was made effective when he died, but thank God he is alive forevermore! There are so many benefits in that Will: eternal life, John 3:16; good health, Acts 10:38; etc. Sadly, no man has fully implemented the Will of Jesus Christ.

Nevertheless, Almighty God has anointed a man who will fully implement the Will of Jesus Christ. And that man shall be revealed in the year 2133. And from that time, there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are all passed away. Glory be to God!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

Pastor K. C.
