Hi, I'm a kind of person that usually have weird taughts. I always fabricate stories that are interesting when I'm in the midst of my friends. Whenever the inspiration comes I just start narrating movies that I've not watched and may never exist which my friends usually find interesting. Even when I sleep I do have interesting dreams that are movie-like and could be remade on TV.

So Just yesterday it occur to me that, what if I develop this talent and start writing movies for the big industry who have the fund and capacity to project whatever interesting idea Ive got.
But the problem is that I don't know how movie scripts are written professionally come to talk of presenting it to my potential producer/ director or whoever can make it a real movie.
I need someone who can teach me this script writing or guide me with the format. Cos im scared if I hire someone to write it for me, and then another person to proofread. The longer the chain of people at that raw stage, the easier for me to lose everything, cos ppl do steal another person's idea.
I need Your help here!!

just go online and check out screenplay structures... i'm sure you'll find your way from there

yea, also download screenplays of past films too... especially those that relate to the genre you want to specialise in....

or you can just not be a screenwriter and be an author instead. Or, you can be both. Whatever you think, whichever way, you're right.

All you need do is get a professional script writing software like FINAL DRAFT...

Go through the manual and get acquainted with how to use it...

But just like the poster above stated, you can start out by writing out your imaginations as stories...

Yea download screen writing PDF books and Final draft app if you have a PC.

Writing is not always as fun as it seems though. It's work. You need to devote time, learn, read other produced scripts. Write first draft, rewrite, edit, write again and proof read and write the final draft.

Nice one, OP. Welcome to the craft. It's fun, it's beautiful buy very very hard. You need to LOVE it to stay on, especially in this clime. The more time you devote to your craft, the better result you get. You have an idea you think it's perfect and by the time you write it a couple of times, you realize it still needs a lot of work to actually fly fun and reasonable. Stay focused and be open to constructive criticism. And grow a lot of thick skin because you won't find lots of help getting your script produced. So just keep loving what you do, devote time to it and network. The right people may turn up, you never know.

Get the screenwriting software like they advised, download a couple of screenplays online and digest, pay attention to details; style, formatting and all. Read articles online from screenwriters. Before you know it, you will become master of your own art. Get a mentor if you can too. Don't forget to NETWORK! Many fantastic scripts are out there without hope of them ever making it to the screen.

@op I have been having the same thing , I have tried running away from it as I'm even typing this now I'm getting imaginations of a movie, is worst to the extend I can look at anything and make up a good story line of it, at times I don't sleep it keeps disturbing me, but I can't write a script. You just made my day knowing I'm not the only one experiencing this! I do a lot of stage drama and I don't get tired doing it, it always fun for me. I would be reading comments below thanks for this.

@OP: Nothing more to add. You've got great advise already. Being a writer requires a lot of passion and discipline. So erase any romantic notions you might have, roll up your sleeves and get to it. All the best.

Or you can first pen it diwn as a story and develop it from there.
