Have been using a Camon CX for a while now 7 months to be precise and I thought what's if my phone was stolen today how do I protect my data and personal information from becoming public. We have heard of celebrities nude images been leaked online.

One of the Major reason people choose reason people buy iPhone is the fact that you still have some control over your even if you're not with the phone...The iCloud account can remotely lock and erase your data from your device incase of theft..

Most Android users do not know their Operating system have a similar feature and it's called Remote lock or wipe your lost phone

You know that fear that we all get once you lose your phone? The fear that all your data and private information that you had stored on your phone might become public? Because to be honest in these day and age, our mobile devices sometimes know a lot more about our private lives than some of our friends. Therefore, with the loss of our mobile phones we fear that our secrets may be exposed. Be it in our bank information, private documents, emails or whatever else it may be, that is all at risk with the loss of our devices.
However, using the Android Device Manager (ADM) we can avoid all the stresses that come with the loss of a mobile device. The ADM is a Google feature that lets you track and take control of your phone if you ever lose it. The ADM does a lot more than just track your phone though, with it you can ring your phone even from a far, you can lock your phone to prevent someone from accessing the data it contains. Also, if you cannot foresee a possibility of you getting your phone back, you can use the ADM to reset your phone and delete all the data stored on it.
You can enable the Android Device Manager in Settings > Security > Device Administrators and access the site on your computer if you ever lose your phone.

I once misplaced my phone phone at work...I signed into Android device manager and was able to turn on the alarm feature of my Android phone..

There's no limit to what ADM can do...
But your data connection has to be turned on properly control your device.

Android phones don't get enough credit sometimes. I personally would rather not put some sensitive things on my phone tho, Good thread OP!
