During the June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Abiola won only Anambra State, the other South East States voted for Tofa (a northerner). Cross River, Delta, Edo voted for Abiola. An Igbo person (Arthur Nzeribe) got an overnight black-market judgment to annul Abiola's election; when it was becoming obvious that he would win.
Note that the Igbo man together with a northerner (the judge) and military dictator IBB(another northerner) saw to the annulment of the election. I need not remind you that the Electoral Chairman (Professor Humphrey Nwosu ) at that time was also an Igbo man. In 2008 he published a book in which he claimed that Babangida was not to blame for annulling the election.
During the fights to restore democracy, great Nigerians like Frank Kokori, Alfred Rewane, Ken Saro Wiwa, Kudirat Abiola, Gani Fawehinmi, Abraham Adesanya, Wole Soyinka and other democracy activists fought against Abacha. Some of them were killed, others hounded out of the country, Odumegwu Ojukwu and his colleagues were busy frolicking with Abacha, he even traveled to the US at a time to shore up the image of Abacha (a northerner who was trying to turn himself into a democratic life-president).
That reminds me, another "Kanu" back then organized the "Youth Earnestly Ask for Abacha" rally. Onyeka Onwenu sang the praises of Abacha at the rally.
These guys wined and dined with the conservative northern oligarchs back in the day; but now that the arrangement is no longer suitable, they think burning down the country should be the only way out. Me think, that is childish; only infants try to scatter the game when they lose.
Till date, no Yoruba group has come out to call Igbo people "betrayals", "cowards" or "animals" for the action of some Igbo elites. We understand that the elites do not represent an entire ethnic group.
Next time, they call Yoruba people betrayals show them this post; next time they call us cowards, tell them, the only successful offensive ever undertaken by Biafra against Nigerian territory was led by a Yoruba man, Victor Banjo. Remind them also that cowards don't build empires.
They should also be reminded that their enemy is not the man from the other tribe, but their own "elites". They should learn to hold their leaders to account. - Olu Adegoke

Yoruba people are naturally coward

Always afraid, they will rather gossip at your back than say their minds in your presence

Never have them as friends cos they can't be trusted.

Cowardly rants of cowards.

And an Igbo man Prof ABC Nwosu declined to announce the result Abacha wanted him to. I know if the table was d other way, the afonja would wickedly announce Abacha's result to hurt d Igbo's.

Umu amosu!

U woke up this morning to rant about Igbo's. Udene muo! This one can give poison from d way Igbo dey pepper am for heart.

How can a country ever move forward when its people are still dwelling in the past filled with hatred, bitterness & disgust for one another... Such a backward mentality.

Let us leave the past behind and move forward. One day, we will all regret our actions knowing fully well what we could've achieved together.

Just take a good look at yourself. Who wants to be friends with a slowpoke and tribalist like you.
@OP, you need not reiterate further. I will not generalize the action of one or two bad Igbos as that of the whole tribe.
Real Igbos recognize Fela, Gani Fawehinmi as top activists Nigeria has ever had. These two did not compromise until dead came knocking.

Tell Igbo people to stop writing BS about us online. For some time, we kept quiet thinking those BS things will stop. But the more we keep silent, the more of it we see.

Google the word Yoruba today, most of what comes up are BS written about us by the Igbo people .

We are tired. We can't keep quiet any more.

We young Yorubas are just coming out to tell the Igbos the cowards they really are and were from time immemorial. They have never won a war unlike Yorubas who fought for 100 years home and abroad.
What made Yoruba warriors tower permanently over Igbo weaklings is our heroic history compared to their sordid history. They have been calling Yorubas cowards a long time without rebuttal because our parents thought it was not befitting of them exchanging issues with non entities like Igbos but instead of abating, the younger weaklings are taking up the baton necessitating the Younger Yorubas like me who have read about the past and seen the present of the two people to bring to the fore the facts.Even the present still shows the Igbos to be weaklings which could be a DNA thing but the mouth is still there.
Only warriors and the brave like the Yorubas built empires..

Are you okay? When did contesting in a cancelled election amounts to bravery? The bolded crap shows you are inconsequential. The Biafrans drove Nigerian troops out Owerri and were readying to take Igwu Ocha.
