Should Christians Really Engage in Dating  This has always been a burdensome issue on my mind and I have always wondered if it is really ok or not. So please I would like you to help me out here. Do you think it's ideal and OK for Christians to engage in dating or do you feel Christians should court directly and then marry?? fumisko: I don't know if you are serious with your question or not, but if you are truly serious, there is nothing bad in it, in as much as you guys are not romancing, kissing that could lead to fornication or being occupied by each others thought at the expense of God. If none of these is involved dating is ok for Christians which means you look for Godly person to date not otherwise |

Dasherz: I believe Christians can date but must follow guidelines laid down in the Word. The Bible asks us not be unequally yoked. A Christian ought to date a Christian. The Bible also encourages sexual purity before and after marriage. In other words, the Bible frowns at fornication and adultery. The Bible didn't mention Christian dating but with the aforementioned guidelines, you are safe. Ultimately, the Holy Spirit should be allowed to be the counselor. The reason why many Christian elders may frown at dating is because of the difficulty in maintaining physical boundaries. Many Christians have fallen to the temptation of fornication or to immoral thoughts. But God is a merciful God. I believe we are becoming more conservative than God |
