Hey there. I am an Aussie in love with a Nigerian man who lives in Maylasia for now. He is visiting family in Nigeria but we sms every day. It can be expensive but hopefully worth it in the end. Its rough but we do visit every few months. msn is what gets us through. Its been over a year now. Sometimes i can do my own head in wondering if he is being faithful but i know that if he is not i know i will find out eventually so i try to be relaxed. Be warned: If you are getting involved in a long distance relationship you have to be UBER STRONG, be prepared to scream, shout and want to buy a ticket just to slap the hell out of you BF, LoL. It's tough, if you go 2months without arguments or something crazy happening, start getting suspicious. I am not joking. There is nothing like a "peaceful" long distance relationship. The stress of not seeing your loved one can drive you crazy. But don't lose hope, I did long distance for 2years then moved back home, we've been together for 6years now. So although the two years were crazy, it was definitely worth the wait. Just be careful and be prepared, it's not a piece of cake.

Dezzy, 5 YEARS IS LIKE 50years in long distance, you better ask your bloke to find his way to australia or meet half way. 5years without seeing your partner? That's a tough one.

@Cockyzy, I disagree, each argument that would have been avoided if you were face 2 face is more intense. Let's not deceive the girls by saying it's a bed of roses because it's NOT. A storm will definitely come.

Every affair has its up and down,be it near or LDR.Argument and tension is healthy in a relationship but it shouldnt win over the affair.Every relationship need an anchor.
