Nigerian Law School Website Review by auwal87(m): 7:50pm On Oct 25, 2017
Hello Nairaland,

It's been a while since I posted on this forum, but something caught my attention today and I felt it is necessary for me to discuss with fellow Web developers on a very disgraceful work by the Nigerian Law School. By far, this is the most ugliest looking and slowest website i've ever visited (http://www.nigerianlawschool.edu.ng/index.html).

Nigerian Law School is one of the most prestigious institutions in Nigeria, they ought to have a functional, well built website. But what I see as their website even a beginner in Web design will do much better.

I am not going to compare their website with that of other law schools in other countries far away, just compare with Ghana School of Law (https://gslaw.edu.gh/).

I think something is very wrong with the way things like this are being handled in Nigeria, the saddest part is when millions are budgeted for this kind of ugly jobs.

Dear Web Developers, Web Designers, and Webmasters,

What do you think about this situation?
What should we do to bring an end to this situation of half-baked websites of Nigerian public institutions?
What is the role of Nigerian Computer Society in this kind of matters?
Is there any association of Webmasters or Web Developers that can bring sanity into this industry, at least in public institutions?
Should there be a regulation for practicing in this industry just as there is for Engineers and Doctors?

God of mercy!

What is this?.... Why is it that our government representative are always shaming us?

Just look at a whole Lawa school website of Nigeria.

Please, the person or people managing it should learn from my easy web design tutorial and do something fast about it.

He should check www.w3programs.com for the FREE tutorial.

In this our time when Wordpress and other platforms had made it easy for someone to setup a professional website even without being a guru, the person or people in charge of that website should be ashamed of themselves.

I really can't imagine that with all the great web developers in Nigeria, with all the great designers, an entire country of 180 million people, a Law School cannot find an 'average' web developer to create its website. Their website is an F9.
