Fire catches Fayose’s costly G-Class in Lagos

The expensive G-Class Mercedes Benz belonging to the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose caught fire in Oshodi, Lagos yesterday. The vehicle caught fire on the governor’s way to the Murtala International Airport, MMA yesterday.
Sources said the Governor who was in the convoy escaped unhurt but that he was worried and perturbed. "We are worried. The incidence was unusual. The car is not expected to catch fire so easily. The Governor is really troubled and afraid he may be a target of some spiritual forces", an aide of the Governor who does not wish to be named told Irohinoodua.
Sources claimed that the accident occurred in the afternoon of Wednesday on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. Irohinoodua gathered that it was the third time the vehicle was having a serious accident the last two occurred in quick secession.
“This is the third time in three months that the Governor’s car will be having a serious accident that almost took human lives. On one occasion the car had accident and the Governor was nearly hurt. He had to leave the car for another vehicle in the convoy. The Oshodi incidence was terrible. The car got burnt into ashes”, an eyewitness told Irohinoodua.
Sources said that officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management, (LASTMA) fought hard to put off the inferno. One source said cash estimated to be in millions were caught in the fire.
