This thread has shown that many nairalanders have heads but can't think. Every normal person knows most yorubas don't have tribal marks. This is the 21st century and though some families still do it but they are very very few. Let's not allow hatred to prevent us from using our common sense.

Beautiful pictures OP, continue. I can see that Yoruba girls have broken the hearts of many here. They are so bitter and angry anytime a thread about Yoruba women come up. Lmaoooo.

I don't know the heart of Agulu (igbos) who always feels uncomfortable with any good information about Yorubas, all Agulu intentions was to ridicule Yorubas but unfortunately for them Yorubas always on top, Agulu (igbos) can heat their heads on the wall, it jealous that's causing wahala for Agulu (igbos).

Women of other tribes come out dressed in attire.

Yoruba women do not dress in attire...no, no, no, no,

...our women come out dressed in STATEMENT!

Give it to Yoruba women, the most fashionable people on this planet!

Another thing about Yoruba brides is that they love to appear elegant. 99% of the time the "iro" and "buba" are fully embellished, same with the "gele" and "iborun". And not forgetting the eye-catching accessories thrown in to enhance the look.

Seeing the threads showcasing the Idoma and Tiv brides in their beautiful costumes, i was impressed and was also inspired to create something similar for my ethnic group.
I like the idea of cultural appreciation so here goes.

Sir, please do not use the word 'costumes,' to describe Nigerian cultural attires or outfits. Costumes are worn by actors trying to mimic a character, or thespians in the world of make belief. It is poorly educated, ill informed and biased Western journalists that regard the cultural attires or traditional dresses of other countries, as 'costumes.' Would they refer to their suits and ties as a costume? Or would they call their ball gowns or tuxedos, a costume? That word is an insult, when used to describe the rich, resplendent, regal attires worn by the Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, Igbo, Itsekiri, Urhobo, Tiv, Kanuri, and other different ethnic groups in Nigeria. Thank you. undecided

Hey bro. Really sorry about that. Its just that other bridal threads on FP had similar title so I decided to go with the flow. But all the same correction accepted.
