I renewed my #2000 data plan two days ago which normally would have been 7.6GB and I was shocked to see 9.4GB.In my mind,I was like God don catch glo for me...I didn't know it as the latest review.
I just received this message which clarified my doubts of maybe it was a mistake or not
#1000-1.3GB and 3.6GB upon renewal now 4GB 30 days
#2000 -3.8GB and 7.6 upon renewal now 9.5GB 30days
#2500-5GB and 10GB upon renewal now 12.5GB 30 days

It has the highest subscriber base because Nigeria is a poor country.
I once used Glo too when I had no option due to my tight budget, but once I could afford better, I had to dump it.

Why do you think other networks still charge significantly higher? It's simply because they don't see Glo as a major threat.
Any price reduction by any of Airtel, MTN and 9mobile is immediately emulated by the rest because they have comparable service quality to a decent extent.

Glo might have the highest subscribers, but I'm going to bet they don't make as much money as MTN does from their lesser number of subscribers.
With Glo you spend let's say 1000 to get 4gb, while in the same time frame an MTN subscriber spends at least twice as much.

I have to commend them for their 4g services though, but how many cities have Glo 4g right now?

I know for sure Adenuga wouldn't be happy to learn his network is the poorest, any businessman wouldn't!

You know nothing about what you are dabbling into ... they charge higher because they don't have any option. Only Glo and Ntel are at liberty to do what Glo is currently doing ... issuing data like it is going out of fashion


From Mtn to your so called Airtel are either working for Glo or Ntel. ... we have only two national carriers in Nigeria ...Glo and Ntel. Other use them to terminate their calls or they are out of business ...no option , no alternative to them both

When you add the fact that Glo is the king in data matter to what they pick as charges, from 9mobile ,it used to be like 6 naira back then before the review , then Adenuga doesn't just sip champagne he baths with it

Some years ago i remember subscription on MTN of N20,000 for 5gb.You use 2gb for day and 3gb for night.GLO is making data cheap so we all can enjoy internet access.This makes other network to also drop their data charges.If GLO is slow in your area,then pack your load and come to Delta State.Here GLO speed is around 2-3mbps on 3g and 10-26mbps on 4G.
If you can not relocate to Delta State, then find way to improve your signal reception.You can go and buy a yagi antenna or what will improve your network.Since telecoms brought internet to us,look at the network providers making serious effort for it to be cheap.This complaining of slow network,its just a matter of time their network will improve.I remember some years ago where it was just gprs we all use to browse.Use a day to download 20mb file.What of today?
Network will get better,lets try and appreciate this good development from GLO.

I use Airtel
MTN sometimes
So i know what it means with this GLo new data plan as it will help in my internet work and for my students i train.
Other network that is good in your area will beat down their data price because of GLO.
Just like TSTV is doing to other satellite providers.

With Glo's significantly cheaper plans in a poor nation like Nigeria, they should have smoked out every single competitor already if they have the quality you claim they do.
