The latest versions of the uc mini is even messing up, background downloading is now very poor; download stops after few minutes of switching to another app.

This is one of the reasons I don't update my apps.
If it isn't broken, no need fixing it.
Some update are pure waste of time!

I used UC Browser PC version once and enjoyed it. My system became really slow. I did all the tricks I knew and even sought help online to have the system operate at normal speed, but nothing worked. I had an antivirus installed so I'd frequently do a comprehensive scan to ensure the system was healthy. One day, I got tired of the issue and decided to format my PC. Just in the nick of time, a thought came that I should change the antivirus. And that's what I did! After the first scan with the new AV, my UCBrowser was gone! In fact come and see different kinds of malware and the likes in the report, majority of which was caused by the browser. Since then, I have avoided the browser like a plague.
