I feel you so much my brother. Have you not seen how we curse and pray that God should take OBJ's life just because he is toeing the path of development? And that's why we have remained stagnant over the years.

@ Thread author,

Can we have the subject exalined again?

Am suppose you meant in face of new development, those to effect or initiate the development use the word hungry and the rest to name development?

Does the development you are talking about includes the inflation on fuel price? the suffering in the Niger Delta town (s), the above the law attitude of our present day politicians, the way roads are built and no provision for jobs / alternate way of livelihood, bla bl a nb a bl a?

Does the complain includes our unbelieving spirit towards other fellow qualified citizens that can defend and save us from such hash, development?

If you as a government want us to die now so that later in years to come, our children will enjoy, then it should be done in the form of intellectual (educational) and not making us to suffer hard times.

If you have been to some remote villages across the country, you will find out that their TODAY is aleady messed up with, I wonder what the tomorrow of a child who has no education, has no balanced diet, has no sponsor or helper, has no stand in even his local region, I mean we have a to help them out and not telling them a tale of some strange development that has never caused any positive change to thier lifes, but all it does is pushing them dip dip into hard season, hard times.

Please don't put hunger or illiteracy into this matter!! There are enough schools in Lagos to serve its sprawling population!!!

No I mean any sign of Development. Take for example, the refurbishment of the rail corridors all over Nigeria. After hovering through various forums, all i could read was: So many people are poor and hungry blah blah blah!! What do you think they are getting at?? They are improving the railways to provide jobs and services to enable that at least some of these poor people can FIND SOME FOOD TO EAT TOMORROW!!!

Take the Tinapa resort. This resort has already provided jobs for more than 5,000 Nigerians and 25,000 more as the development comes to a grand finale [ about the end of phase 3]. Is this impressive enough for you guys!! What do they say; Oh but poor people of Calabar!!, Oh but the hungry, the sick, the uneducated, You educated few should know that with major development comes jobs and with jobs come prosperity!!

Abeg jo ma people, no de yan dust say person no fit chop!! No be money go give am chopis

What is the government meant to do in your opinions Hand out money to the poor masses in the hope that all the money shared out would never run out and that the purse shall always remain full??
