You’re talking with both sides of your mouth.
If the woman has to put the kids and family above everything else, the man has to MAKE SURE he can support them all financially without her contribution.
Stop making excuses for those who seek to punish women in the name of marriage.
It’s like you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

What's your point exactly? Women ought to sit at home to nurture the kids and family? But if she has to work, then family becomes secondary? I really don't understand what you're countering.

My point is that if she has to work too, the husband should make the family his priority as much as she makes it hers. It shouldn’t be all on her. It take two to tango. Very simple.

Yes, of course, in an ideal situation. We all want the ideal situation. But if the father fails in being sufficiently available for the kids, the mother shouldn't. Just as financial provision is the primary responsibility of the father, so also is nurturing the kids the primary responsibility of a mother. That's what I've been saying.

You said a woman should earn.
You ‘forgot’ to add a man should nurture too.
You were clearly one sided with your post.

If he fails to provide adequate financial support thus necessitating the woman to contribute towards his responsibility, he has to be ready to make up for his inadequacy by taking up some of the woman's responsibilities too. Just like she has with his.

Your name gets the song "primadonna" by Marina and the Diamonds playing in my head every time I see it.
