Scratching excessively might not be the solution to your itchy problem because you might have this STD.

Last week I released an article about STDs you can get while putting on a condom and many people were surprised that something like pubic lice or crab lice exists.

The small parasitic insects infect your genital area, feeding on blood. and might be the cause of your itching problem. The insects can be found in teenagers and adults who keep a full pubic hair, but in rare cases also on eyelashes, armpit hair, and facial hair.

Pubic lice are typically transmitted through intimate contact, including sexual intercourse. It’s also possible to catch pubic lice by using the blankets, towels, sheets, or clothing of people who have pubic lice.

Diagnosing Pubic Lice

With the help of a magnifying glass, you can see the small, crab-shaped insects moving in your pubic hair. The Lice are usually pale gray in color but darken after drinking your blood.

Another indicator of infestation is Lice eggs. The eggs are tiny and white and are usually found around the roots of pubic hair or other body hair.

People with pubic lice often experience itching in their genital region or anus about five days after the initial infestation. At night, the itching will become more intense.

Other common symptoms of pubic lice include:

low-grade fever
irritability
lack of energy
pale bluish spots near the bites

Getting Rid Of Pubic Lice

Improving your body hygiene by bathing regularly and shaving a lot more can help alleviate the condition (might not be really effective), but you should also visit your healthcare provider.

Several forms of DIY treatment exists (using hot water won't really work), but I would recommend you visit your health care provider. Healthline lists various DIY treatment you could try out, like the ones written below.

Topical, over-the-counter lotions and shampoos can be used to remove pubic lice from your body. These treatments include RID, Nix, and A-200. Ask your doctor which products are safe to use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, or are treating an infant for pubic lice.

You may only need to wash your pubic hair if your lice infestation is mild. Read the instructions to find out exactly how much product you should use and how long you’ll need to leave the product on your skin. Prescription medication might also be necessary if the topical solutions don’t work.

this reminds me of one movie wey this dude dey chyke one fine chick and as d guy wan start to toast d babe she just clap her hand deep into her pubis and start scratching vigorously..the guy make way after dat .FitnessDoctor this pubis lice would be similar to hair lice right? And if similar can't it be killed with medicated soap? I know there are some ppl who forbid using soap when they bath and dose who use soap might not use the medicated ones.

It is similar, but smaller than hair lice. And yes on the part of the medicated soap, but you might also need to do more to get rid of its eggs.
