We are still waiting for a breakthrough on how to upgrade (or convert?) an Mpeg-2 decoder to Mpeg-4. lipsrsealed

For now better get an Mpeg-4 capable decoder like 4669x to enjoy Multitv. cool

@ All,
My 4669x box has stopped responding to the remote control. I have to use the manual scroll keys to change channels to watch. I can't do anything else without the remote. The remote is working with my friends' 9x. Any ideas pls?

@Hotwire

My SRT53X box had same problem and I took it to a mytv shop around my neighborhood but am afraid they were unable to do anything about it
so please if you find any form of solution to your box kindly share it with me

@Hotwire
@Love4sat
It's possible that your sensor on the box is bad or dislodged, have you guys by any chance dropped the boxes?
if yes then you need to take it to an expert possibly the mytv guys or a very good and reputable repair shop so that it can be tested and (if bad) replaced.

Re: Strong Receivers Thread by Lov4sat(m): 5:07pm On Aug 31, 2010
@Freshp

I did not drop my box in any way it had a power problem so I give it to a technician whom later restored the power but on getting home with the box I discovered that the remote control is no longer working with the box I have taken the box back to the guy and he told me that it has to do with the panel.
this guy in question seem to be at the shop where my mytv dealer logo is placed or it there any mytv office around port Harcourt
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by freshp(m): 5:12pm On Aug 31, 2010
@hotwire
its not the panel perse, you see there is a link board for the IR sensor to the main board of the receiver, probably the connection was disturbed and not reconnected properly, check it well.
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by Hotwire(m): 11:24am On Sep 03, 2010
^^^^
It is not the I R Sensor that was faulty, the problem is from the main board. It has been fixed now by My Tv technician.

Love4sat,
Get qualified technician to check the main board.

@Hotwire
I would try and locate my tv technician cos it seems to be that the problem lays within the main board as the guy who restored the power issue said though he has his office where mytv and Hitv decoders are sold.

or is there any other way to identify mytv technician
Re: Strong Receivers Thread by Hotwire(m): 12:05pm On Sep 23, 2010
@ All
If you have 4669x and some infinity channels have no sound then it is because your box lacks Advanced Audio Code (AAC) capability. You can upgrade the box with 1.10p software. The HE AAC software for the 9x is available on the web. Just Goggle it.
