Our Alumni are making exploits in the Software Industry: 2017 in retrospect by Moat Academy Coding Bootcamp

Even with one month to the end of the year 2017, we can’t wait to start recounting the success stories recorded within the year. Yes, Moat Academy is coming of age as our curriculum specially developed to take anybody passionate about software development even with little or no prior knowledge in software development to an advanced level within the shortest possible period is being proven viable over and over again. Here are some interesting achievements within the year:

United Nations Hackathon: The first ever held UN hackathon in Nigeria had four members of our training (Moat Academy and Pink IT) as part of the six-man winning team. The Hackathon which took place between March 10 – 12, 2017 was implemented in 9 cities across the world, with Lagos as the only city in Africa; innovators and developers were selected through an application process.

Fisayo at Interswitch : One of our Alumni gained employment with the leading payment processing company in Nigeria, Interswitch in just few weeks after completion of his training with us. According to him : “If you want a place with family touch, where you are mentored even after your training in software development, Moat academy should be your point of call”.

Kehinde at Moore Advice: One of the Pink IT Alumni (a program which Moat Academy’s curriculum was also deployed) gained employment with a software company, MooreAdvice in less than two weeks after her training .

Mariam at Concept Nova: Mariam gained employment with a software company, Concept Nova limited in less than 3 weeks after completing her training with us. According to her: “Moat Academy is the best academy you can ever choose for your career in software development…".

Toba at DipoleDiamond : In less the 2 weeks after the bootcamp, Toba gained employment with Dipole Diamond as a software Developer.

Pink IT Demo day on Channels TV: We are happy that 3 commercially viable applications were presented on the demo day developed from scratch by those we trained.

Daniel at Insidify : Daniel gained employment as a backend developer at Insidify.

Victor, Chigozie and Others set up their own software companies

We wish to go on but space constraint will not allow us. Many more successes were achieved by our Alumni as employees, freelancer and entrepreneurs within the year.

We are always happy about the success of our participants, that’s one thing that gives us joy .You too can be part of our success stories in 2018, let’s make impact together in the software development industry. Apply for the next boot camp starting January 16, 2018 at www.moatacademy.com.
