The prestigous AMAA awards is around d corner. Going by wat hapened last year,  Nollywood's practitioners are anxious & can't wait 4 it 2hold. Unfortunatly, Nollywood's performance at d awards last year was not impressive dis year maybe good. With movies like fugurine, the child, freedom in chains, nnenda e.t.c havin high nominations, Nollywood stand d chance of living out its title of No. 1 in Africa. Wat do u think?

i remember the first couple of editions when nollywood went away with 90% of the awards. seemed so unfair and biased to me cos it was organised by Nigerians. i like the way other African countries won majority of the awards last year, it shows that we appreciate the works done by other Africans and that we need to up our game.

Nominees

D committee who screen d movies is not made up of only nigerians. If nolly won 90% of d awards, it was bcoz it deserved it. I learn't d organisers didn't want it 2look like a nollywood's affair, dat was y they gave other country's most of d awards.
