YES, hitv card works on 53x. You don't need to patch. All you need is the working TPs of Hitv

Sammu. It is not that it didnt work at all. But only 3 or 4 channels. The others are saying no access. The signal is there-strong. I even tried it on old 63x (not the one with black face) yet same story. Anybody with suggestion on this?

Hi the gurus in the house,How to you repair a torn mesh dish? I have a 10 feet mesh dish and is torn as a result of being transported and installed.I thought of sewing it with a small wire.

you can sew it neatly. that's how i did mine although it was a small tear.

those drivers could be very careless sometimes. the way they even carry those meshes contribute a lot to it's damage. just sew it carefully and it should be fine.

as for the lighning wahala, i have since replaced the lnbf and everything is ok.

1. pls can you tell if its receivable at nsukka with 2.4 mm black comstar dish since its very close to kogi state and which is part of N/E Nigeria,
2. Which Lnbf do i need to use (ku or c-band)
3. Do you have another frequency other than the ones dropped here by other gurus

you can only receive nilesat with a solid dish (either pan or fibre). forget about that comstar mesh because it won't work regardless whether your close to kogi or not.

rhe thing is a s/w issue since most of them on looking inside the box have the same ICs and parts.

if open dvr 4663x and dvr 4669x and you compare d ICs u wil see that their ics are almost d same so i dont think ics is what make them different from each other.

that is what am saying it is a software issue.so lets dig deeper.

the issue of mpeg2 to mpeg4 has been dealt with at great length on the official fta thread.
it goes beyond mere software upgrade else strong technologies and co will not be making sales at all!

try and upgrade to minimum 1.8m. that your 1.5m will give you a lot of disadvantages especially on c band.

you're too gbasky. guys on satellite have a very wonderful and powerful lnb, ranging from single, dual, quad, octo and also a wonderful 'unwarped dish' as the receptor. olason, badaru, bodejohn, olofofo, ifende and some other guys who prefer to be anonymous have all been wonderful.

if not for those 'nonetities' who keep washing my enitanet down the pit after successful tracking, they would have been passing coaxial wires to me whenver am on the roof doing installations.
