Thanks for those Comments.

As you said ,i'm not of those who say EFCC should be scrapped . Infact any government that doesnt look towards EFCC's institutionalization doesn't have Nigeria's interest at Heart.

Having said that, Let me shed some light on the fight against 3rd term. U see the Pro third term project was really really real. And it was conquered not with ideas as u may have thought but with Money. Serious Money from both Sides.

Why do u think we are criticising OBJ. Do u think i'm just criticising him based on sentiments.I can tell u They both bribed heavily the lawmakers. The LEGISLATURE might as well be the most frequently bribed institution in Nigeria and you should know these are not mere conjectures.

Even as close as we are to election, there are still some lawmakers through the presidency pushing for the extension of the handover date to October 1.
You watch and see as events unfold. The complexities behind the politics in NIgeria isn't a Joke,it's serious.

shutmouth:

It's called Fraud Culture.

I've given up the fight against Atiku on this forum as some people just don't understand that what is at stake today is our national interest and not Atiku's innocence or his feud with OBJ.

Rather than spend time and resources in the development of our nation, they are spending time and money in courts, overseas trips and irrelevant campaigns etc, distracting those that are working hard for the country.

It's hard to comprehend, really!!!

@shutmouth.
I agree with you that is the national interest that should be paramount in all these. Please note that nobody supports corruption in this country, but all we are saying is that nobody should be spared. My governor owns 172 houses and other companies, but the only thing that can be done is to drag him to code of conduct bureau, but Joshua Dariye was accused of embezzling state fund, and EFCC went for his head. But 172 houses is not enough to get him impeached, what of peter odili?
EFCC release corrupt politician list and days before that, Ribadu was at Ibadan and accuses the deputy governor of corruption, but his name is not in the list.

shutmouth. before you shut you mouth permanently, why did the president that claims to be fighting corruption remove six names from list given to him by EFCC. over to you.

You guys are really dumb struck on this OBJ stuff in this forum that it is beginning to look like a disease. Do you need a doctor checkup or?

Nobody in this forum like or support OBJ and now can we take some rest.

Nigerian just never stop being foolish. OBJ will be out in a few days and yet some people just enjoy writing stupid stuff about him as if he is contesting the coming election.

Look Iran sent a rocket to space today and yet you Nigerians are wasting your precious time writing about OBJ.

Now, can you guys shut up and talk about Pat Utomi or other candidates and tell us some good things about them.

I just don't know what to say again than to S-C-R-E-A-M. STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP

Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku

And the content of your thread suggests otherwise.

Clarification
On arrival in London for a medical check up few days ago, Fawehinmi said he was completely against the Court of Appeal ruling in favor of Atiku. He said, Atiku must resign if he is no longer a member of the ruling party and if he no longer accept the policies of the FG.

I will provide the URL link of his statement once I can locate it.

I believe you opened the link while sleeping. Please open your eyes well well shocked

Sometimes our SAN, Gani, can be funny. The verdict of the court, to me, is morally and legally upright. We should not allow the FG to be over-bearing in the way it deals with perceived opponents . Also, the judges are men who have been in the legal profession for decades. Their wealth of experience and logic can hardly be faulted.

@designplus
I think it will be of great benefit to us all if you can go ahead to tell us how FUNNY Gani is by making a critical analysis of that letter. He raised some serious issues that affect the Constitution and Nigeria as a naton. So please shed more light on your claim
Re: Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku by scribe(m): 4:03pm On Feb 27, 2007
For sure Gani made a lot of sense in his analysis.
I am neither for OBJ or Atiku. I am for a better Nigeria. But I don't think the court has helped matte with the judgement delivered. How can a government succeed if the President and the Vice are pursuing different dreams at the same time. That will only lead to a lot of confusion. cool

If the president wants to betray the country, is the VP constitutionally obligated to support him according to Gani?
Re: Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku by IykeD1(m): 9:06pm On Feb 27, 2007
@Seun,

The honorable thing to do is resign and fight like hell from outside. That is how its
done everywhere else. There is the National Assembly, its their job as dictated by
the constitution that they check the president - its not the VP's job. I bet you, if Atiku
had gone this route, Obasanjo would have been toast by now, and this would have
been his election to lose.

One can make similar argument that the NSA boss or the directors of the SSS or DMI
can not be fired by the president because their jobs encompasses looking out for the
entire security and well being of the country - not what if the president decides to
betray the country?
The "IF" part is not in the constitution as read by Gani
and others.

Going by this line of thinking, the president could have rightfully argue that Atiku has
been running all around the world betraying the country lately - I mean can you imagine
Chenney going to UK or Italy or Nigeria for that matter to lambast his boss or the US
government?
Re: Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku by chidichris(m): 11:16pm On Feb 27, 2007
Iyke D, Atiku's issue is gaining ground in nigeria not because we don't know he is guilty but because he is saying it is not me alone.
if we are not in for intimidation and side taking, then how will you be convinced that atiku has been stealing from the ptdf without question not until he made his stance known on the third term.
atiku and his lawyers have succeeded in providing the country some incriminating issues and evidences to nail obj just to make sure he commit he that made his values known to nigerians.
will it make any sense that the president who was for seven and half years the petrolium minister did not at any point know that atiku has been using the funds wrongly.
orji uzo is there for eight years but the corruption cases are becoming more and more since he rejected the third term bid and indicated his interest in the presidential seat.
are you not aware that odili dropped his intention because he was told to do so or face efcc. please my brother, will not contesting election be an alternative to efcc's problem in a society that is fighting corruption.
if we call atiku corrupt, then what names are you going to call Andy uba, chris uba, adedibu, bode george and tony annenih.
do u listen to fela's songs sometimes? he said much about obj and the only mistake he made was to call him international thief when he was a saint.
imagine inec machines in a thugs house yet nothing was done to him till date and chris uba held anambra government hostage for many months destroying government properties and nothing happened to him instead he was made a member board of trustee and someone come from nowhere to tell me that someone is fighting corruption.
for God's sake, Atiku should be left alone.
Re: Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku by donnymikky(m): 12:24pm On Feb 28, 2007
We dont seem to get the effects of this judgement on our constitution and our political structure. Gani raised some few observations vital to the existence of Constitutional  gorvernance in Nigeria. The constitution clearly states that in abscence of the president the V.P should take over. Assuming now that OBJ(PDP man) dies this moment would it be constitutionally right for Atiku who has deffected to Action Congress to step in as the new president? If it is ok then it means PDP has authomatically transfered power to AC without elections. If it is ok what do you expect PDP as party to do then? I strongly believe the Judge never considered the effect of the judgement on our constitution before passing the verdict.
Re: Fawehinmi Against Court Of Appeal On Atiku by McKren(m): 4:08pm On Feb 28, 2007
the Judges pronounced their verdict through their pockets. They have all been bribed.
