Microsoft and Qualcomm at an event held yesterday unveild laptops powered by Arm processors. What does this mean? It means that laptops will now be able to use Qualcomm snapdragon mobile processors.

This is not Microsoft first attempt to making laptops that run on arm processors. By creating laptops that run on Snapdragon processors, Microsoft is merging mobile processors with laptop experiences.

As a result of this, laptops will be more power efficient, reliable in performance and feature always on L.T.E connectivity.

Laptops unvield at the event featured Qualcomm's snapdragon processors and X16 L.T.E modem for connectivity.

Laptops unvield with these arm processors includes; the Asus Nova Go and the HP envy X2.

OP, They don't use SnapDragon mobile chippets, they just use the same ARM architecture.

OP, I am not sure if the LTE signal is related to the processor.

To use and receive LTS signals, the laptop needs special antennas for LTE. And this could be an extra feature. But will not come as a default just because the processor is Qualcomm

Qualcomm snapdragon 835 processor or let's just say chip. Apart from powering devices comes with some bonus features. The samsung galaxy s8 and all devices with the Qualcomm snapdragon 835 chip features the kind of LTE connectivity featured in these laptops.
Since these laptops feature the SDG 835 chip they will also have access to this LTE connectivity without special antennas.

Go and read more about Qualcomm chipsets. They're shipped with LTE modems. For instance, Snapdragon 650 is shipped with Cat 6 LTE modem, capable of downlink speed up to 300Mbps and 50Mbps uplink. The Snapdragon 835 is shipped with Cat 16 LTE modem, with downlink speed up to 1024Mbps(1Gbps) and 150Mbps in the uplink.
