By the way, why should I vouch for my pastor since I'm not God that knows his secrets. Remember Jesus said on the day of judgment, some people will claim to cast demons in His name and yet Jesus will say "I know you not".

In Deuteronomy, you convert your tithes to gold and silver if your residence is far from the temple. When you get to the temple, you use the gold and silver to buy cattles, wine or whatever you want to and eat it. Therefore, you do not hand over gold and silver to the Levites but rather foodstuffs.
