I am located at uyo, akwaibom and am staying besides a church that won't allow me rest in quiet.
Day and night, they have services which is not an issue to me.
THE PROBLEM IS, THEY HAVE A MEGAPHONE THAT MAKES LOADS OF NOISE KEEPING ME FROM SLEEP AND GIVING ME CONTINOUS HEADACHE as I can't sleep with all the noise.
I HAVE ASKED THEM TO TURN DOWN THE VOLUME OR RELOCATE THE MEGAPHONE TO NO AVAIL.
I AM A CHRISTIAN, AND FEEL ITS WRONG TO INFORM THE POLICE ABOUT THIS.... WHAT CAN I DO TO RESOLVE THIS PLEASE.

I'll be very glad if a law is enacted for religious bodies to confine the sounds within their space alone, church or mosque.. whatever it is.

That’s not a Church, but a nuisance.

My advice: Make a strict complaint to the church prime members. Should they refuse to respect your person, burn down the church

My guy, I learned this while living with my uncle. As you have warned them to stop and they don't want to hear, buy your own megaphone, a bigger one if you can. As them don start their noise, you sef play Olamide's Wo and Small Doctor's Penalty on repeat, make them go call police. I've come to conclusion that Nigerians are mad from birth. You have to treat their madness with madness, forget being a Christian. Your sanity is more important, because I assure you one day you'll run mad if you keep doing this to yourself.

Now you can see in our days that pastors cannot invent keyboards, guitars, loudspeakers, etc, yet they condemn scientists while they make use of their devices. Hmm.

If you can't report because you are a Christian, then why complain?.... Continue to endure it because you are a Christian OK? Hypocrite everywhere..

In fact, same thing is happening to me too!

That thing can be so annoying, just as am typing this, I can hear their noise again.

I attend a church where I'm in charge of sound. I discouraged the use of horn speakers and it has remained so. Whoever wants to hear what's happening in the church should come inside.

Until members of a congregation change their mentality about the fact that unnecessary public address systems are a menace to the society, and until the govt decide to curb it objectively, this issue will persist.

You may do well to know the prevailing noise pollution laws and regulations in your state and explore it knowing fully well that pleading with the church may fall on deaf ears. Better still, you can relocate.

Learn to sleep with the noise. Condition your mind to ignore the noise or else na die you dey so

you've done the right thing... I can quite relate with the scenario above. Nevertheless, I will implore you to exercise some more patience with them while constantly reminding them of the megaphone. HAPPY SUNDAY.

U don't have any choice than to report the issue to the police. It's either they relocate or change the direction of their megaphone. I still prefer u report to the police Sha!!!

It's only in Nigeria that churches use massive loudspeakers to disturb other people

Report to the police. That's the only way out.

If am not mistaken, the church was there before you parked in. So get use to it just like your co-tenants have done too.

I don't think there's anything the police in Nigeria can do about this matter

If you can't report them to the appropriate authority, then try and ignore them as much as possible

Unfortunately, even the law won't grant your request! You either move out or continue to stay!
