Very sad how we claim Christianity but do not even know its tenets . A House fellowship is a church in the House. It's call a Cell Unite, meaning a unite of the whole. In a large group, we won't know each other to the base, with the intent of offering help and assistance for each other in times of need, hence the Cell Unit. It is a Church.

In my Church, Living Faith, there's nothing that is done in the main Church that does not happen in the splinter Units. So, yes, when i go the Home Cell, i go to Church, for, When two are gathered in His name, He is there.

However Brother, When forsaking your sins after repenting,do not let depression creep into you for those sins of the past as you just repented. Let go of the just immediate sin and all those of the past which would want to be recalled to you,to make you look depressed. Let go of them once!!You know why?

The point to notes here are:
1)The devil know you are going to be great but wants to create a stumbling block,which repercussion you might and may know by relating to the sin in kinds.
2)You can't impressed GOD after repentance by Depression.
Depression only allows devil penetrate your thought.It makes staying with GOD after trying to impress GOD by hurting your self in mind,saying you are determine, saying you are correcting this by yourself, creating unhappiness.
Trying to find solace in your depression mood,if the chance of temptation comes you will fall for it.

Now,that you are over depression and repented.What makes you Stay?
You have to first as said earlier be happy and continue to declare you have been forgiven all,the very all of your sins by Confession and you won't go back to it.
Next,work on your character, define how you want to be,but put happiness and decent as a top priority so that doing so won't lead to depression that will allow hole of the devil.
Next, you have to start growing in CHRIST.
This you can do by yourself, study the bible everyday and be prayerful too,be watchful too.Don't hate just be happy and always ensure you make choosing the best decision your character.
Be consistent,be happy.
I emphasized consistency and happiness again.
Preach to yourself and those around you if you have the chance. Understand you are a man of mission delicately and wonderfully created by GOD and you will accomplish it by HIS Grace.
Be Happy, Let your appearance and utterances be guided,be consistent in the Bible study,especially, psalms,proverbs,and the New Testaments.

Not true. There's a reason why we are called 'CHILDREN OF GOD'.

Just like a Child gets born and begins to grow into adulthood, that's how we are also born in the spirit and begin to grow into spiritual adults.

In the process of growth, a child, wees and poos and vomits on himself over and over. The parents are always ready to clean up the child . When a child gets to the stage of leaning to use a pooty, he begins to be taught to use, but he will still sometimes poo on himself till he learns fully.

A time comes when, if he poos on himself, the parents gets angry because, he has been taught to do the right thing. But he will be cleaned up again.

A time comes when the child be will be ashamed of himself if he poos on himself hence, makes every effort to stay clean. this is maturity.

tayooluwole , Are you certain you are born again? It is nothing like playing mental assent games with God. Jesus Christ gives evidence to each one who is born of His own spirit to prove that indeed one is born again. If you don't know what the evidence is, it means you are not born again. If you incorrectly identify the evidence, it also means you are not born-again. And if you have to take a guess as to what it is, it definitely means you are not born-again.

Man was born flesh and blood from his mother's womb. Jesus Christ told you this in His Gospel, affirming what God said in the beginning when He pointed out that man was made from the clay of this earth, not spirit - Genesis 2 vs 6 - 7. So in order to become a citizen of the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom where only those who are born of spirit can gain access, a first step in becoming a Son of God and eventually a partaker in the blessings and rewards of the Kingdom of God, one must first be born-again. And as broken down carefully in His Gospel by Jesus Christ, one must first be born-again before one can then become a citizen of the Kingdom of God.

○ Born of Water — Is an acknowledgment of the message spread by John the Baptist whose call for repentance as found in Matthew 3 vs 2 Jesus Christ was reiterated beginning at the start of His own Kingdom mission, "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand" found in Matthew 4 vs 7 & Mark 1 vs 15.

As John explained in his conversation with the Pharisees, to be born of water — baptized — there is a need for repentance, a visible transition from following God's Old Law of Moses to following God's New agreement of peace —Jesus Christ. In verse 8 of the passage below, John instructs the Pharisees to change their hearts and show by the way that they live that they have in fact changed from following the Old Way to following the New way — Jesus Christ.

8 Change your hearts! And show by the way you live that you have changed.

Suffice to say, the kind of repentance God desires is not simply an abandoning of one's sinful ways but more importantly, an abandoning of the hold the Old Law had on one to embrace instead a full commitment to following and abiding by the direct teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ alone. Once one is baptized in water after this, one is said to have concluded the work of obedience necessary for one to be Born of water.
○ Born of Spirit(Eternal Life) - In John 3 vs 16, Jesus Christ elucidated that all those who believe in Him will receive Eternal Life in place of the condemnation of Death which they formerly lived under as a result of God's judgment against sinners of Old - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. The Spirit of Eternal life, the spirit those who are in fact born again are born of, as described by Jesus Christ in the context of John 3 vs 1 - 21 is not a passive spirit. Rather, He is an uncontrollable invasion of those of the individual who is born of Him — a possession so to speak. This can be vividly seen in what Jesus Christ said of those who are born of the Spirit of Life in John 3 vs 5 - 8

7 A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”
8 (For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “How is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)

In the above passage, Jesus Christ equally describes the Spirit of Eternal life as living water on the inside of those who drink from Him again implying that one does not get a passive spirit but a conscious spirit wielding power inside of them when born of Spirit.

The born-again process is clearly not of the mind but of acts of obedience and also of invasion by the controlling power of the Spirit of Eternal Life who then guides one into the Kingdom of God where eventually — if one continues in submission and obedience — one is able to become a son of God, moving on to attain righteous by seeking first the Kingdom of God(holiness) and God's righteousness as commanded by Jesus Christ. However, none of this will be possible if one is not first born-again. So, ask yourself today, are you born-again? Can you confirm today that the Spirit of Eternal life has invaded your person and is actively working in you pushing you in whichever direction He chooses? or are you pretending to be born again in order to fit into the religious circles of men?

1. If you want to become born-again, you have to adopt the Gospels as the Law by which you will live your life from that point on. The Gospels contain all the details of what constitutes sin in the Kingdom of God and there are less than 100 definitions of sin for you to know and live by detailed in it— it is the only Law you are called by Jesus Christ to live by.

I don't know if any body here is in my shoe... Since I was born I have attended many crusade and church services. During any of the services, any time the instruction is prescribed that all who wish to denounce sin and become born again should come out to receive prayers, me no they carry last to follow go out to be born again at that moment. The issue is, my being born again at any point in time doesn't take much time before it expires. Just at the moment I decide to be born again the holyholy will be there but by the time the holyholy run into 2 to 3 days it begins to desolve till I go back to the status quo. The logic behind this is that, if Jesus is to come withing the shortest time that follows the moment of my being born again that means heaven sure me die but if na after it has expired OYO is my case but Jesus will surely consider my seriousness by looking at the number of times I have come to him...

Pls how can someone be permanently born again without much sin ?

You got the concept of born again wrong. Being born again does not mean that you will not make a mistake or commit sin. But it does mean that you will not make a practice out of sin.

If you feel guilt when you do something wrong, then you are born again.

Those who are not born again hardly feel guilty of their sins.

So, what you need to learn is how to put your flesh under control.

There is still sin in your flesh because it's still the same old flesh. Your flesh was not saved when you got born again. It still loves to sin.

But your spirit is born again. You are a new man on the inside.

But there is a battle between the spirit and the flesh.

So, how do you put your flesh under?

1. Through prayer especially backed up with fasting from time to time.

2. By dwelling on the right thoughts. Most of the sin we commit begins in our mind. If you can cut the suggestion off before it takes deep root in you, it's possible not to yield to the temptation. Philippians 4:8 tells us what to dwell our thoughts on.

3. Keep the right company of friends. 1st Corinthians 15:33 says that evil communicate corrupt good manners. Friends can lure you to do the wrong things.

4. Be in fellowship all the time. You receive grace to overcome sin each time you are in God's presence.

5. Study your Bible always. It supplies grace also.

6. Avoid phonograph and movies full of sex scenes.

7. Avoid reading books that are full of sex acts.

Above all, you must make a quality decision not to permit sin reign over you. Because if you do, you will end up in burning hell.

Again, you only get born again once. But you can rededicate your life to Christ if you backslide from the faith.

If you sin, just ask God to forgive you and repent of it. And he will.

Judging by ur response to that brother, u are not really ready to repent. Repentance is not 'Lord i am sorry' . Repentance is the willingness to turn away frm sin permanently, that is whn u receive the grace and power to live right. Until u are ready to forsake ur sins and turn a new leaf u wil never be saved because righteousness cannot be achieved by the energy of the flesh but by the Spirit of the Lord.

Repentance is not from sin but instead a switching of contracts from following the Old Law of Moses to following instead the New Law of The Kingdom of God, Jesus Christ. That is the repentance preached by John the Baptist, the message Jesus Christ took up and began preaching as well.
