Despite the brilliant tech genius Nigeria has produced including the likes of Philip Emeagwali and Chinedu Echeruo yet we've never come accross tech startups founded by Nigerian(s). Could it be that Nigerians is not interested in running tech companies or that Nigerians can't be trusted or that silicon valley is reserved for the whites only, could there be racism in silicon valley. Indian who are science/tech inclined are making waves. Microsoft and Google CEOs are both indians. What actually could be the problem. Let's hear your thought from those who reside abroad or have experience.

Is unfortunate and sorry to say that many youths in Nigeria are irresponsible. Every guy wants to be a yahoo boy or musician and every lady wants to be a make up artist.

The world does not revolves around Nigerians!

There are probably thousands in Silicon Valley, most tech start-ups are usually combined team of nationalities and not much emphasis is placed of where people come from as long as you know your stuff and bring something to the table (funds?)

Or some are classed as Americans so there unless Nigerian media search them out you'd rarely hear of them...

This begins with ISPs making data cheap like it is in other country where they pay by data speed not data allocation, with that Nigerians can start learning coding online.

Nigeria can only individually and not as a nation due to institutionalized corruption and negative minded being deep rooted from home

The problem of Nigeria is not the leaders but the followers. Everyone is shouting "Buhari must go" but on election day if APC is to offer every Nigerian N5K on election day to vote Buhari, many will collect the money and vote him including the educated ones.

More like why are we 'still' calling ourselves Giant of Africa. A molue having 4 tyres doesn't exactly qualify as a modern transportation bus, We dont even have electricity
