I have South African study permit. Now I need to do a change of university in order to do a PhD degree. My passport only has 9 months to expire. Must I renew my passport now or they can give me longer visa than my expiration date?

Second, I have a child whose mother called for divorce before I left Nigeria. The divorce process has not been effected since then. Having been confused, I have been filling in single status in my forms all this while. Now I want to include him in the next application and probably use married status because of him. I don't know if this will be risky. I need advice house.
