I agree 100%. Every guy feels the urge to provide for a girl he loves. Its a natural instinct, same way girls instinctively want to be loved and taken care of. The problem is when girls start making derogatory comments about "broke/stingy" guys. As adults we should be able to express desires and preferences without being obnoxious/putting people down.
NB: this issue of "stingy guys" should be addressed. A guy who uses his money to upgrade himself/better his lot is not stingy. Stinginess is when the money is available and he doesn't have any pressing need of it. I say this because a girl once called me broke because I didn't give her money and I had to explain the difference between being broke and having financial projects, like getting a new car, getting a better accommodation etc. Its only an unreasonable girl that would demand her "boyfriend" should give her money he's saving to furnish his house so she can buy iPhone. Not every guy that doesn't give you money is broke/stingy, some are just spending it on important things. Girls would say they prefer guys that have rides then turn around and call a guy saving up to get a ride stingy because he didn't give her money to buy something frivolous, out of the money he's struggling to save to get what she used her mouth to say she wants.
