She should go to the bank and lodge a complaint, if she's lucky they can help her block the thief's account and make a reversal.

She really messed up sha, she should have insisted that he gives her the money first before she makes the transfer. Otherwise he should get lost. Why on earth would she follow a complete stranger to his car in these perilous times when kidnap and rituals are at an all time high? Too bad she had to learn about how these heartless criminals operate the hard way.
How would she establish the identity of the guy ma?

Actually it does. You don't get it. Yes she made a mistake but the interesting thing is how quickly you were to ridiculing her. The first thought of a normal person is sympathy. Just read through the thread and you'll see a pattern. Nigerians don't expect anything good from their fellow countrymen hence the reason they are always on guard. A society can never survive like that. There is no community in Nigeria. It's every man for himself. Shiit like this will never happen in a country like Germany. I am not talking about the crime but the response. It's citizens don't go about condemning a victim for an act of kindness. They get angry at the crime. Not the victim. Crime happens everywhere in the world but what matters is the reactions of citizens to said crime. Nigerians, which way na?

Anywhere in the world I don't think such a thing will happen, when it comes to issue of money people are always on their guard, be it Nigeria, Germany, USA, or Timbuktu. Why didn't she collect the money first, make sure it is not counterfeit and that it is the correct amount, then she can go ahead and help.

Hey she made an innocent mistake based rational thinking. The fact that her trust was abused should not make her feel there are no genuine Nigerians. I would like to transfer 15k to her just to reassure her that genuine folks exist.
To that guy, you think you are smart and gained but on the long run you are just short sighted and stupid.
it reminds me of the danfo driver that that drives against traffic and blocks in coming traffic further causing holdup on the road he intends to pass minutes later.

In nigeria, banks will never block and reverse any transfer once it has been done instead, they will advise you to speak to the person to transfer the money back to you.

Did i not just say that crimes happen everywhere in the world? I am not interested in if it happened in Nigeria or not. I am more interested in the reactions of it's citizens. Because of the environment you live, you assume it could never happen. Just like from your experience in Nigeria, it would be insane to be outside at 2 in the morning just going for a jog. That might sound insane to you but in many many countries, it is absolutely normal. Castigating the woman only perpetuates the distrust you have amongst yourselves. I can't believe i am explaining this. Smh.

No bank will block a customer's account based on unproven allegations. She needs to lodge a complaint with the police first

What if the person she was asked to transfer money to his account is a criminal/kidnapper and Police traced the transaction back to her.
How will she tell Police that she doesn't kw the kidnapper.
How will she explain to Nigeria Police that she did not even know the person that request for the transfer.

Pple should keep updating their brains daily not just taking much time to update their phones and change to the latest make-up.
