Pls after salvation, do not create new bondage to new converts. Pls lets understand how to give & the right pattern, else Christianity will look like bondage even after Christ's redemption.

1) First fruit is good, but what is the exact biblical patterns of giving it??

2) Where churches giving first fruit in the 1980s?

3) Those who didn't give then, are they in hell?

4) What is the meaning of "giving the sheaf of the first fruit"?

5) Must first fruit be your January salary?

Pls Jesus Christ came mainly to die for the sin of the whole world, anyone who is now redeemed should give as he proposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity, but cheerfully.

Let giving not appear as a yoke, but with love & peace.....

First fruit is good, but ask the Holy Spirit the exact way to give yours, not as your church says.. The old testament has pattern.

Pls lets enjoy Jesus in this perilous times..

Are you His servant or you are just pretending to be? If you understand what first friut is, you'd drop it easily knowing, when he multiplies it, you won't have room to store it.

Enquire from the HolyGhost before you give....don't just do it...you are not holier than the HolyGhost

What is First fruit?

what is it's motive?

What do you consider bondage?

If you intend to teach a principle, don't start on a wrong premise of contravcy.

You already have laid a wrong premise here. What is your motive of opening this thread? Will Christ be gloried at the end or maligned? Will it encourage the flock or cast them off? Be mindful of your actions for you will never say to the Angels, is was a joke.

God never takes from you wthout multiplying and giving it back to you.

He took from Peter, and after doing his business, He multiplied for Peter. He took from a teenager, 5 loafs of bread and 2 fish, after finishing with his business, the boy had 12 baskets to take home, if he could carry.

Jesus takes from you to multiply you, not to deminish you.

First fruits is Kingdom insurance.

Say watin happen? Who wan use the money? God directly or man? There are millions of Nigerians who don't have breakfast, some are living close to you. Some sick fellas aren't able to pay their hospital bills, assist them. Help these ones and God will bless you. This method of taxation by the church is a disgrace. And this is the reason why we have so many churches today with funny names because Bible teachings have been modified to suit personal interest.

You need to enquire from the Holy Ghost what He has already given in His Words?

If you were present when Jesus took away a little boy's food that him mama gave to him for lunch, what will you call Jesus? A wicked man abi?

Giving God your first fruit is very deep. Many do not understand it as they think it is just money. Below are some of the examples of first fruit
1. First fruit can be the your money. The first profit or salary you got ( Prov 3:9)
2.As a farmer, the first fruit of your labour ( prov 3:9, Eze 44:30, Deut 18:4 , Neh 13:31 )
3. Your first born ( Exo 22:29)
Jesus was the first fruit given to humanity to redeem man ( 1 cor 15:23)
Giving to God should be done cheerfully not out of compulsion.
Is it compulsory to give God your first fruit?
No just as is not compulsory to be blessed.

Should first fruit be given to beggers
No. Giving to beggers are seeds sown and would be riped soon.

Where should I give my first fruit
The house of the lord.

How would I give when am not convinced?
Don't give because others do.Give because you have better understanding of the word. Give because you are being inspired by the holy spirit.

Shouldn't I just give to those in need?
Yes you can give to those in need but what you did isn't first fruit but seed.

You made sense with this post my guy and I'll make a point from it. It's on the part where you said that you should give the first fruit in the 'house of the lord'. To the nation of Isreal at the time, this command made sense cause they had ONLY ONE FORM OF TEMPLE WORSHIP. They did not have options thus, the people KNEW the purpose of their MATERIAL offerings. But what we have today is 'house of Lords', each church denomination with a different idea, objective and purpose. So, what is the purpose of the offering in the church today?

Thus, the question: What's the essence of giving in a church that promotes false teachings to suit it's interests? What's even more annoying is that most Christians based their judgments on sentiments, not on facts: on emotions and not on reality. Pastors live and maintain very expensive lifestyles, own million dollar properties while their very own members are languishing in poverty. Was that what Christ did while on earth?

No. But again what you see those pastors do had being revealed in the Bible in 2 Peter 2:3.
What does the Bible advocate? That we should beware of these prophets because many are already on this earth. So no matter what you and I say these things must happen. Please and please be mindful of prophets that pretend to help humanity. Many of them are fake.

Quote me but when you've grown up. When you've seen that religion has done more harm than good to mankind. Ask yourself, What has the so-called big churches and pastors contributed to the Nigerian society? And even when they get involved in providing social amenities for people, it is aimed for the rich and famous, forgetting that it's people's First FRIUT. Pastors made us poor even before buhari became president.

If u ar one of the people under the illusion above, sorry to say u are mentally robbed

There is just one pastor I can vouch for. His name his pastor w.f Kumuyi. I do listen to some of his messages as they are inspiring. He is contended with what he has and he preaches the undiluted word of God.
