Why Aren’t Nigerians In The Bamboo Processing Business? by OnyeBabe1(f): 12:23pm On Apr 08, 2010
I am just wondering why people are not entering the bamboo procesing business. Bamboo is extremely versatile and it uses are possibly endless. Nigeria has bamboo in abundance and yet there arent manufacturers of bamboo flooring, flat bamboo panels or even bamboo fabric. For me it is annoying that people import synthetic laminate flooring when the cost of set up is low for bamboo processing compared to other industries, I really do wish I dont have two more years to spend in Uni, if not I would have started a company doing it.

But anyways, if you are looking for something lucrative that would continue to grow and expand in the long run, then please go into bamboo. You can go to South Africa to see how they do it or to Japan. I am not a fan of China's quality.

BTW, I am not a consultant so please dont ask me to send more details, do your research, there is info on the web. You can ask me questions by posting them on this page.

See the links below these organisations are trying to promote the use of bamboo.

This is an idea for people who are in business to grow not those who expect to make a million naira in the first month, Bamboo is cheap. I could keep my ideas to myself but I am neither selfish nor greedy. smiley
