From time of Noah to Moses, to Apostles era, God's people abstained from blood. Should we refrain from eating it in our era as Christians? Then what about Blood Transfusion?

you could show us the bible part which is related to anti-blood transfusion cos i can remember moses sprinkling blood on the people as the sign of the covenant[so much for abstinence from it]

i dont think God frowns at any act that can save life bad as people may think it is.

Acts 15: 29: "That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well."

Genesis 9:4: "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."

Leviticus 7:26, 27: "Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people."

It is clear from the above quotations from the Bible that christian should not eat blood. Blood is sacred from Bible point of view and should only be used for sacrifice. But the question remains: should we take blood transfusion since Bible command abstinence?
