Very very good investment for him and the share holders. The decay in our country and communities made pastoral work and churches the best return on investment.

The more people shout foul, the more these mega churches emerge, there is something right they must be doing, that's all.

Cry from now till tomorrow, these giants will continue to emerge, the gates of hell can't stop them. Congrats Pastor Eneche

My recent brief Mission trips with a Christian Organization sometime ago has revealed that there is a gap that Mordern Churches are not filling in the Villages. While many indigenous Churches are truly moving into the villages there is an obvious educational and healthcare gap we can fill.

This shows that the these Modern churches are all about money.... the tradional churches are about spreading the Word and salvation. There is no money in the villages...so why would the churches invest there?...let's not even think about spreading the Word to remote areas ....that's what the Apostles did...but you wouldn't hear that part quoted. I can bet my life...should gold be found near to the surface in the most remote part of the country and individuals rush in there and es f ablish a community.... the Modern church would be there in the blinking of an eye.

@topic....isn't this vanity upon vanity?.....I never knew such is of God.

No it is not vanity... The church needs a venue to house the large congregants hence it must build big cathedrals-it is a matter of necessity.

Your pain is much but you cannot do a thing about. Buhari tried and it took the handshake of a man of God to bring him and since then , he told Dunamis tompeacefully continue. These men are beyond ordinary in their levels with God. Try them and experience it first hand. Did you contribute a piece of your miserable coins? No. Have you ever prayed for even your neighbour? No. Now you come to spill out rubbish. Your type and daddy Freeze should get ready for the wrath of God because it is obvious that whoever is partnering with you to incapacitate Christianity is not a student of Church history. Spit......

Nigeria is a culturally dead nation. Few cultural centres. Few museums. Few public (or even private) libraries. Dilapidated schools, universities, colleges etc. If a tourist from say Sweden decided to spend his holiday in Nigeria, there's next to nothing to see to appreciate our heritage like he'd have seen in Italy or Spain or Greece or even Africa's own Egypt or South Africa. We're just a culturally dead nation with little by way of intellectual tradition and heritage. All people do is shout down churches competing for who would build the biggest auditoriums. It's a shame. I'm not an atheist, but Nigerians drive my scorn for religion. Of all the damage the colonialists did to our heritage, bringing their religion here to imprison our minds might be the most pernicious colonial legacy of all.

It is obvious that the mentality of those who grew up in the 50s, 60s & 70s is to build big and not smart. This explains the elephant size house around the countries with zero or very few occupants. This idea has gone into the head of our religious leaders now, everyone just want to keep building big and bigger worship centers. Whereas, fellowship with God has gone beyond the wall of a building. Believe me, 20 years into the future this worship centers will be obsolete, and then what next?
Honestly, the way many denomination are raise funds for this projects I wonder if truly there aren't ghost sponsor/investors somewhere All we hear is million million dollars. How are they raising this funds? If truly these funds are from church donations, then we've misplaced our priorities. imagine if Funds for an elephant project like this, is being used for a teaching hospitals, fund our community schools or even a community industry? Please, let's stop blaming the government only for the problems we all collectively bring on ourselves. Believe me, it's like Nigerians are becoming too over dependent on our God. Lots of things we pray about has already been answered we're just to myopic to sense it.
Its well.

Very very good investment for him and the share holders. The decay in our country and communities made pastoral work and churches the best return on investment. A jobless graduate run to Pastors for miracles when he could actually build a new skill, apprentice or take a low pay job, couples with marriage crisis run to Pastors for miracles when they only need an appointment with a good counsellor, childless couple runs to Pastors for miracles when there are options ( IVF, adoption etc) the Pastors sees the opportunity and fill the void. They are jack of all trade.
