Hello all,

For those of you who are profissiant or who know a lot about the Yoruba talking drum, also known as a gangan, would you mind telling me about the different parts of the drum and their proper Yoruba names? Note that I already know some stuff, but I don't know everything.

Thanks!

Ok.. so here's what I know... opailu/opa is the stick you use to beat the drum. Oson are the tention strings that you squeeze to regulate the pitch, eki is, I believe, the leather that goes around the rim of the drum heads. Awo is the skin.. maybe?
