i will try and do alittle tweaking of the lnb when i get home. i probably try with a different lnb to see if the the situation improves. i will keep you posted of any developments.

@all,i saw this in a friends house yesterday Eutelsat W7 (36E)
Packet channels "MultiChoice Africa" 12015 H DVB-S/MPEG-4 27500 3/4 temporarily FTA now,including NN24.

I tried this TP but the channels were all with $ sign and when click on them the word scrambled channel appeared

is anybody experiencing this or its only me?KTN, KBC, NTV TV, K24 on this frequency11733V 8751 with signal strenght of 75% does not show any video or audio. i use a 69x. i did a blindscan , other tps poped up with these same channels but still the same story. All channels were showing fine until yesterday

After some tweaking of the lnb, they began to show but all channels are cracking seriously. what tps are you using?

I've had no problem with mine. Signal quality @ 67%

thanks guys. i decided to change the lnb, and voila! they are showing now. thanks to you guys for your feedback.The funny thing is that i have connected the old lnb to Astra 2b. All channels are showing without any problem. strange things really do happen.

Try changing your lnb too. it might solve the problem. give it a try.

DRTV based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (who nearly destroyed the hopes of the Indomitable Lions this evening) is now broadcasting fta on the tp 12439H23436 on W4/7 36 degrees East. For those who are comfortable with Lingala. It is MPEG2 DVB-S. OH TV is also on this TP but with my 4663x only the audio is gettable meaning it is broadcasting on MPEG4 DVB-S2.

I'm kinda new to this FTA thing
However I started reading the thread on the Satellite section to get started
I did hook up my functional DSTV dish to a strong decoder I used to use for MYTV from way back and blind scanned
I got some FTA channels like Touba, NTV, MBOA, CCTV-those Chinese stations on DSTV- , HiTV's & DSTV's proprietary channels which are encoded/scrambled and some other FTA channels [-PD something- cant recall them off head] which are not showing.
I heard this FTA channels which do not show have keys to unlock them like etv on MyTV
Is any 1 willing to share this keys?

I plan on getting another LNB for my old MyTV dish and then look for FTA channels as I have this guy near my office [he runs a viewing center] who is getting a station called Joy TV where he gets Champions league along with English League matches on other channels located on that frequency
I saw the dish size he uses for it is the same as MyTV's dish size
Can any1 throw more light on this?
As O said, I'm a newbie to FTA but I'm a fast learner as long as Oga Teacher no teach me nonsense!

I dont know anyone that said he has a key for opening DSTV channels, but dont be lazy bro, read tru the thread u have enuf information to satisfy you quest,

they are testing transmission, its not cracking on my daarbox.
are you using 4669x?

the new olive tv channel cracks up like crazy on my 4653x. since I tracked it, I have not seen anything but static freezing pictures on it.
I wonder why someone would waste money on a transponder to transmit very bad pictures.

Well guys lets just wait and see because i believe they are still worken on the setup for the channel, don't forget how drtv international started also but 2day it is showing without cracking and frequent loss of signal so i hope free2view techs get it right this tym unlike the large over size ohtv picture quality resolution on our tv screens

Olive tv has started transmission.

olive tv has stopped cracking and is clear. gospel channel.

Some frequency on w4/w7 are temporarily free.just rescan.

many channels are showing free on DSTV right noww, rescan, ignore the scramble signs and click on the channels for temporal enjoyment. am grooving MM and MNET right now, enjoy y it lasts
