In the run up to the 2007 elections whilst the search was on for a credible replacement to Obasanjo, one name kept propping up as the most suitable replacement for Obasanjo based or his remarkable performance as governor in his State which culminated in his transforming the economy of the state in eight short years that he was at the helm of affairs. little wonder so many people were excited at the thought of having this young man at the driver's sit in the presidency and having him work his magic at transforming the national economy as well. But alas it was not meant to be as this is Nigeria were ethnicity and religion play a bigger role in determining our leaders rather than merit or competency.

As part of the conditions given for Northern support for Obasanjo when we returned to civil rule in 1999, there was an agreement that power will return to the north after Obasanjo's eight years in power and in keeping with the spirit of this agreement, Obasanjo conceded to anoint a northerner to succeed him. As a result of this Nigeria lost the opportunity then of getting the best possible proven replacement for Obasanjo in the person of Donald Duke and instead went for Umaru Yar'adua who unfortunately was not in good health and was unable to perform creditably before his eventual demise. Why Obasanjo then did not anoint Donald Duke as vice president despite his being the most competent remains a mystery buried in the intrigues that culminated in the 2007 elections.

As another election year approaches and all sorts of political calculations are being made with alignments and re-alignments going on, we now see that Donald Duke who recently indicated his renewed interest in contesting the presidential elections next year is a prominent member of the Obasanjo sponsored Coalition for Nigeria movement. Could Obasanjo be trying to correct his mistake of the past by now backing the presidential bid of the man who would have been best to succeed him?

It is not who you are underneath, it is what you do that defines you. A political corridor is a one chance anticipation to a political success. Characterizing a political success without considering the action of players void the good value it accommodate in a milieu. Politics is not domicile,it is not a one way traffic, it is not a gadget, it is a process,it is action,it is determination, it is plan and most especially it is a lane to foment trouble when it's results are not corresponding to the public expectation. Insalubrious it is to experience politics with greedy and people who have no conscience to human existence. Zeal to succeed when politics is bad is right to defend nature when it is about to collapse. Condemn is not complain, it is far much better to condemn than to complain, complain is not condemn and it is disgraceful to complain when you can condemn.

It is time to condemn the bad actions of those in authority. Complaining about their actions is like discussing in silence about the worst you experience and is about to repeat again. Condemning their actions is a process of protesting, revolting or rioting and the government has a listening ear but are stubborn to listen but when we condemn by action they hear faster than expected. Audible it is to kick an empty tin than to kick a ball on a wall.

We wish to be like the western countries but are we ready to sacrifice. United State of America did not just became great without a foundation and sacrifices. China did not just became the best with the kind of corrupt people we have in Nigeria as leaders, their policy to eradicate corruption was what made her so powerful today. Ghana was a country of penury, a country without a standard economy, look at Ghana today and compare their economy to ours,it was a credible leader with determination to promote the living standard of Ghanaians that made Ghana what it is today. Germany revolt many times against bad governance, France was at the forefront of revolution, for Nigeria to be great, sacrifices need to be made and such sacrifices is our actions to eradicate bad governance.

It is the duty of our Youths to decided how to defend this country. The politics of governance we experience in Nigeria is destabilizing our economic growth. The economic growth of Nigeria is our dream and if we keep calm without actions or asking questions then extinction of a country is not calamitous to compare to the regret of what the future will produce. Regrettably it is to divorce a wife because she refused to be dominated by you and to remember the support she gives you when you are in need is the most painful part of remembrance. If we can unite without minding the Ethnic or Religious differences, the future will celebrate our superiority in the universe.

Our father's refused to live together because they want to dominate others,we cannot behave like them,we are the future and the future will crumble if we chose to follow the part of war mongers. A credible constitution by the United Nigerians will end all these conflict we have been experiencing in Nigeria. If we can't revolt then let's change this constitution, let's establish a constitution that will protect us,a constitution that will unite us and a constitution that must be respected by us. Time to act is now for a united Nigeria is power to survive this modern generation. United we stand, divided we collapse.

If Obasanjo had handed over to Duke we certainly won't be in the mess we are in today as Duke would have transformed the economy and raised the standards of governance. However it's not too late to correct the mistake of the past. As for me, I am solidly behind Donald Duke.
