I have been wondering what goes on in the mind of a soldier on his first time outing in the battlefield, after the training.

how do they feel knowing fully well that it's no longer training but real deal

I don't know I am not a soldier but it is not easy life in the battlefield.Whoever wants to be a soldier must be prepared for it.It will always be an honour to defend the territorial integrity of ones nation.I believe they feel or have a sense of patriotism for their country.
