Hello nairaland people,

I am about to travel for a short course to USA next week. I have an international driver's permit but my Nigerian drivers license is missing.

I have read in a couple of online platforms that we need to have both (local and international) to drive in USA but people have told me only the international driver's license is okay.

Nigerians in diaspora, I need your advise

You can drive with any type of international driving license. But you can't drive in the US if you are new to the US road. It is so much different from driving in Nigeria. You won't last 5 minutes on the road before you would be pulled over by police

Get all your travel advice from your travel agent or embassy id the country you intend traveling to. Nairaland.com is not the solution.
