Kenya-born French long distance runner, Abraham Kiprotich, has won the 3rd Access Bank Lagos City Marathon returning in 2 hours 15 minutes 04 seconds, while Ilya Pam  emerged winner of the indigenous race with 2hrs 27mins.

The winner smiles home the prize money which is a whopping $50,000. Meanwhile, Herpha Guta of Ethiopia has emerged winner of the women edition of Lagos City Marathon 42km race. She achieved this in 2hourrs 38mins.

The 3rd Access Bank Lagos City Marathon started on Saturday at 6.30 am with a former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, and former national basketball team Captain, D’Tigers, Olumide Oyedeji, participating.
