The Lagos States Government has disclosed its readiness to commence rehabilitation of Oregun-Opebi linked bridge under road which was meant to decongest traffic, the decision of which led to issuance of a 21-day notice to traders and automobile engineers who make use of the place as workshops.

It was learnt that the served 21 days ultimatum to operator mechanic workshops under the link bridge was meant to pave way for the commencement of proposed work.

The Chairman, Lagos State Task Force, SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, disclosed that the 21 days ultimatum served would lapse first week March and that traders and others who make use of the place as workshop were expected to have vacated the area.

Speaking through a statement issued on Wednesday by the agency’s Head, Public Affairs Unit, Adebayo Taofiq, Egbeyemi claimed that activities of the occupant of the place were constituting environmental nuisance in the area, with oil and other waste been freely dislodged on roads.
