That Nigeria had produced so many Short distance runners is an open secret. Chidi Imoh, Ezinwa brothers,Mary Onyali,Maria Osifo, Olapade Adenekan to mention a few.

I have been looking,searching and praying to know the secret of Kenyans and Ethopians in long distance races but up till now i got no answer.


I was at Idumota enroute Marina in Lagos about eight years ago when i experience something that is note-worthy.
As i was approaching Marina on my FOOTWAGEN, there was pandemonium all around, i saw Lagosians picking race, i have no option than to run as well DIRECTIONLESS.[/b]Everybody was going to different directions. Lagos Area boys in Slippers running helter-skelter. I thought it was a coup d'etat.

Here's the conversation between me and another man following me:

HIM : oH  boy, wetin happen now?

Yours Truly: I no no
( Before we knows it some Area boys was running after us, they were in bathroom Slippers, they breezed pass us as if na juju carry them pass.
[b]THE WAY THEY RUN , this guys can beat the so called American Sprinters easily   

I got to know later that two factions were claiming base authority.
