I'm not talking about getting their opinion about someone you are just kicking it with. But when you really decide that this is the one, do you seek the opinons of your friends to make your decision and if so, do their opinions even hold weight If you really love the person?

why should their opinion count? Dey wont be the one to live with the partner, it is you and you alone, - so, dont bother about other people's opinion.

because when you are in love you dont always think with clear eyes. It often takes a person outside of the situation to advise you.

I wouldn't take my friend's opinions on board, when choosing a life partner.

In the same vein, I don't interfere in my friend's private lives. We're all adults, and all make mistakes. Which is fine, as long as we learn from them, and don't make the same mistake twice.

Friends. . .depends. Opinions are opinions. In the end we do what we must.

@ iice : I must say your responses to various topics are superb. Keep up the good work

@ poster : like your family , true friends wouldn't want to mislead you. They might be seeing something you are not and probably won't see till it's too late. However , not all should be taken seriously and in the end you still have to make the ultimate decision.

When I was younger, MAYBE, but not anymore, I am old enough to know I am the one that has to live with the person, not my friends so what they say doesn't matter!

It is a very dicey situation from the way i look at it, especially if it comes to ladies. A girl who might be interested in a guy might ask her friend her opinion of him, and knowing what some wicked ones out there can do, she might tell her not to date the fellow, bad mouthing him, and then go behind her back to hook up with the guy. i've seen so many cases like that in the past.
