Nigeria Targets $100bn Investment As Petroleum Summit Ends by Ankakh: 8:21am On Feb 23, 2018
Ibe Kachikwu, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has revealed that Nigeria was targeting about $100 billion investment in the petroleum sector to drive it to the projected level of providing maximum contribution to the overall growth of the nation.

Kachikwu stated this on Thursday while addressing the press shortly after the close of the five-day Nigeria International Petroleum Summit, which held in Abuja.

The Minister disclosed that already the Federal Government had sealed deals in excess of $40 billion that would start coming in the nearest future.

He said that amount would not, however, be able to adequately drive the needed investment in the nation’s petroleum sector.

“I did mention investment portfolio of about $40 billion, and the number is coming from three very unique projects.
