My friend, no matter how hard you try to cover up businessmen like Oyedepo, the facts would still be glaring. He made his money from selling hopes to people. He is a thief, the hireling that Christ talked about. And because he preaches a different gospel from that which the Apostles received and preached, he is nothing but a false teacher. He has a massive following because he preaches what people want to hear. Let him go to Germany and see if he would be able to grow this wealthy by just being a pastor.

In this Church, there's no tithe, no payments for prayers, no seed sowing and no money matters from the church members. In fact, the priest should provide for them.

I am sorry to input, but, I don't think you know what a best selling book is? Oyedepo is not a best seller. His publishing house is said to have 4 million prints in circulation. I assume the 4 million prints in circulation involve all his 50+ books. That is poor. Let us compare the figure to that of a true best seller, JK Rowling, writer of Harry Potter.

Just one of the Harry Potter books, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, has sold more than 250 million copies. Even if you decide to make excuses that he might be selling more on the e-book platform, I still don't see how he can be a best selling author with so much as to live in such luxury.

After indoctrinating them then tithes and others will come, for now let's work on convincing the poor that God can do anything but needs money 1st.

Secondly,I know what a best seller is and Bishop Oyedepo has over 50 of them.And if you dont know,know it now,he has sold thousands of copies around the world.
He owns a massive publishing company and the second best university in Nigeria,in addition to the numerous first class secondary schools his ministry owns all over Nigeria.
And off course God is his chief sponsor.

If you claim he is using peoples tithes and offerings please kindly back up your claims with the necessary evidence.

The priest did not walk from his country or house to this remote village to spread the gospel, he must have used a commercial flight to the nearest airport and hire a car to the village. Is not stone that will pay those bills, is money. Money from where? You can answer that the best way you know. The People (Church) that send the priest will always send him some money for his upkeep and the priest will surely put on ground the very needed basic amenities like good water and if possible a small clinic. He needs money for this. Money from where? You can answer that the best way you know. Dangote don’t pay tithes but I can take you to a mosque he built for us. Is that not giving back to God? Uba too is building a church for his town people.
If you don’t believe or support offering and tithing, please stop. And use your money to help people in need directly. Go yourself to elderly homes, orphanage houses and help. A and if you have big pocket go to your village or Local government know their need and help. Do it as per pocket level and your size.

Yes it is for collection, but it is also used for collection of petitions for God's intercession. So it might not be for cash collection only.

this is what we called Christ at heart... if they dominate that area now, other smaller churches that couldn't take this risk will be shouting... there are numerous churches that send people to remote villages for evangelism but they don't come out to broadcast it.

Everything oyedepo own that u have listed were acquired with church money. Oyedepo is presently unemployed and he was also unemployed before he started his business church out of hunger. his schools, universities, private jets, publishing companies, Etc was not acquired before he became a pastor. It's not a secret.

I was shocked to hear that a RCCG missionary pastor in a remote village was earning #15,000 per month, he had a wife and baby, the guy was so frustrated that, sometimes, he would wipe off shame and do casual jobs, carry cement at construction site and return to do his missionary job In same town.

As I speak, the guy couldn't bear it, he got an opportunity to travel to USA, he grabbed it, he has abandoned the RCCG missionary job now, he is in USA now working with a company and earning some reasonable dollars, atleast sending something back home to his family. Am happy for him.

My point is, these big churches ain't really using the church wealth to propagate the gospel, its just their verbal excuse for consistently making demands from members. If they can't pay a missionary reasonable money, then RCCG and many of these big churches are not different from govt agencies.

This is the kind of church/gathering of the lord i want to attend...where we are concern about each other not how good the shoe the pastor wears looks, or the bodyguards he came with or the type of car he came in with...This is where i belong and will definitely find peace and my lord Jesus Christ.

As if as they had a choice. Being under the rain and the sun, who likes it? Abi after Jesus has suffered for us, we should go and continue suffering?

Little beginnings begat great things, if not in 2yrs it would still eventually happen a d u see a magnificent building there.
