Queiroz, famous in England for his spells as Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant at Manchester United, is currently manager of the Iran national team.
Carlos Queiroz has claimed Lionel Messi should be banned by FIFA… until it is proven that the Barcelona superstar is actually human.
He guided them to the 2014 World Cup, and made it to two consecutive World Cup Finals by securing qualification for the upcoming tournament which will be hosted in Russia. Iran, as one of the minnows in the competition, are not expected to achieve much – and are always handed tough group stage draws.
This summer they will play Portugal, Spain and Morocco, while in 2014 they were drawn in a group with Nigeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and eventual finalists Argentina. Queiroz’s men came so close to securing a draw with La Albiceleste, with Lionel Messi’s injury time free-kick the only thing separating the sides. And in an interview with FIFA.com, Queiroz has discussed the brilliance of Messi and the impact he made in that match. “I’ve always said that Messi is an extraordinary player,” Queiroz said. “He’s out of this world. If he were human, he wouldn’t have had that magical moment in that match (Argentina beat Iran in the group phase with a late Messi goal). “I don’t usually like losing, but I didn’t come away from that defeat with a negative feeling. It’s when something magical like that happens that you know that football is alive and kicking, and that’s why it’s one of the best sports in the world to watch. “And it’s even more of a special moment when it comes from a player who shouldn’t be allowed to play by FIFA until it’s proven that he’s actually human!”

We are still going to beat Argentina at the world cup even with Messi on the team and that is a conquest we must achieve...

I Pray with the way Aguero is warming up now for Man City. A cause for concern.
