Dear Nairalanders I was transferred in my place of work to go help build up a new branch,having resumed this new branch,my salary was slashed by 30% owing to the fact that its a new branch.I called the head office to cry out,but they told me to hold my peace that they will look into it and pay me in arrears when the time comes.However my family still resides in the former place I was transferred from because of my wife government job.
Recently I just came to my senses that I cannot leave our little children upbringing for my wife alone who also has been complaining most times.I then called on our head office to relocate me to another new branch nearer where my family resides but they told me that since it was a new branch I can't maintain my management position that except I will have to be demoted,I refuse going initially due to fear of demotion, but now am willing to accept demotion for the sake of my family,PLEASE AM I TAKING THE RIGHT DECISION? thanks for all your positive inputs

If there is no way you can manage both.Please accept the demotion , IF ......A BIG IF , the new lower position would still earn you enough money to take care of your family.

Dicey I must say. Family is more important than money but when money is in short supply the family goes into chaos.
